I love that book Alik.

My goodness, Brenda, you have been busy. Off to check out your reviews (and hopefully not add any more books to my burgeoning TBR pile). :-)

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) I read My Notorious Life by Kate Manning after reading Angela in AAB's review. I haven't written a review but it was an 'oh wow' book for me. Highly Recommended 5★

I'm nearly finished The Perfume Collector by Kathleen Tessaro. It's not a bad read but I found myself wishing the author had included more historical fact. A deeper look into the perfume industry and it's production would have been great. There was so much scope she could have used but didn't. It will only be a 3.5★ rating from me.

Vicki Tyley (vickityley) | 1732 comments Maybe but I've been reading the same book for nearly a month. And it's not the book, it's moi!

I'd recommend Murder in Suburbia: Disturbing Stories from Australia's Dark Heart by Emily Webb to any true crime buff. What's great is that it includes many lower profile cases I hadn't even heard of it. Warning: You will want to check your doors and windows after reading it.

I don't think I'll read this one, Vicki. It sounds like one where you need a brawny man with you.

You have an excuse, Vicki, you are an author yourself so obviously spend time on your own novel. Plus you work, don't you?

Julie, I should have written a review but didn't. It is definitely well worth reading. It's based on a real midwife in 1860s New York; a fascinating woman and one you will cheer for.

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) For all those who read crime/mystery fiction

Try The First Deadly Sin and The Sixth Commandment series by Lawrence Sanders.

They have recently been re-released in Paperback and e-reader versions.
