Yeah but I loved The Rosie Project as did many others: we're all different so don't despair, It might still be money well spent for you......

Just like in real life, I did find the main characters frustrating at times, so much potential but so many bad choices. There were times I wanted to reach into the story and shake Theo and tell him "snap out of it" and stop screwing up his life.
Staying with the 'art' theme, I started The Art Forger by B.A. Shapiro. Only about 10% in but liking it so far and been wanting to read it for a while.

Lol you'll sleep well tonight then. I'll be waiting patiently for your review :)

Have you written a review Bette? Interested to hear what specifically you disliked about it. Just curious.

So true - I really felt like the odd one out in my assessment of this book; I felt bad that I didn't enjoy it as so many others had but different folks...

If everybody liked the same books, there would be a lot less variety for us to read........

So glad Sharon:)
So glad Sharon:)

Once you're into it, it just pulls you along.

I did the ugly cry for so long at the end of this book that I woke up the next day with swollen eyes and a headache.
Definitely one of my top 5 books of all time.

I am still reading Frontier Incursion by Aussie author Leonie Rogers. Have you ever so loved a book that you can't bear to finish it? Well this is one of those!!

I'm reading Simmering Season by Jenn J. McLeod, the follow up to House for all Seasons. I'm not far in, but it's really good ATM:)

Thanks so much, Sally! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it. The next one is currently in the editing stage and the cover art is underway, so it should be out in the next couple of months if all goes to plan. Will be catching up with my publisher in Sydney in a couple of weeks.

As I write this I still have tears rolling down my face. This was truly an amazing and beautifully written story. I will do my review tomorrow when the tears have dried up :(

Can totally relate Sharon. It really was a wonderful story/book. I was the same when I finished it...both times!!! Tears were streaming down my face. I'm seeing the movie on Wednesday. I have only heard positive reviews about it so can't wait.

I've seen the movie and loved it. I had tears in my eyes at the end of it, but no where as bad as reading the book. Hope you enjoy the movie :)

I really liked the story as well. I wonder if the movie will create the same feelings? I haven't seen it yet.

I have this on my Kindle. How far in before it hooked you, Sharon? I have this on my Kindle and would've probably ditched it after 10 pages if I was struggling (so many books, so little time) if I hadn't read your comment.

Listened to the audio book for half an hour last night and am pleasantly surprised :)

It was about 20 pages, but I'm so glad I stuck with it :)

I know I'm a bit strange, and definitely in the minority as far as this book goes, but I found the first 90% rather ordinary, and the last 10% was the best (although I did find it improved once Max entered the scene about halfway through) - but too little, too late to redeem the book for me. Hope you get engrossed a bit sooner than that, Vicki!
