I had a fun Saturday night. I am reading The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey and The Last Shot by Michael Adams - both such amazing YA dystopian books that I can't put either of them down to concentrate on the other! I will finish them both today that is my Sunday outlook :)

I have just finished the ARC of Missing You by Harlan Coben...OMG! I was gasping when I'd finished! One of those books that you have to put down as it's too gripping, but then pick it up immediately cos you HAVE to know what's going to happen! I have to digest before writing my review, but I can't release it yet either!

Finished The Last Shot by Michael Adams - no review yet as not due out for a few more weeks. A 5 star read just like the first book in the series The Last Girl

Wow, Bette, you've finished already? You must be another speed reader. :)

The Book of Disquiet by Fernando Pessoa. It's a love-it-or-hate-it book. It sent shivers down my spine, because it resonated so strongly with things I'd been thinking about lately. It's taken me a couple of months, because you have to keep dipping into it, but it's amazing.

Vicki, I read it in one sitting because I couldn't stop reading till I finished! A definite un-put-down-able book. I'm impressed and you know me, I'm usually a literary fiction person:)
Reading The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver. My first Kingsolver book in ages. A big thank-you to Sally Howes for the recommendation:)

It's a good one if you like books with real historical characters in them. It gave me a totally different view of Trotsky from the one I had before, and Frida Kahlo in this book is now one of my favourite characters of all time :-) The book made me want to google her paintings and also find a good book about the Russian revolution.

I studied the Russian Revolution and Trotsky for two years but definitely had to look up Frida Kahlo. Hmmm, I think Georgia O'Keefe will still be my favourite.
I'm thinking this will be a difficult book to review:(
Into the Wool books at the moment for the Feb challenge, enjoying these, can see Shift Omnibus Edition (Silo, #2) and Dust going onto the TBR

Just read A House Without Mirrors on a whim from the library - absolutely loved it. Ostensibly it's a kid fiction, but it is quite dark and very good.

Starting The Black Angel by John Connolly. Love these Charlie Parker books - just nicely spooky without scaring me so much I can't read them in bed!

Currently reading Into the Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes. I think Michael recommended it? It is outstanding so far. One of those books I don't want to end. Looking forward to reading the rest of her books...

Bette, that's why I was concerned it wouldn't be your cup if tea, so to speak. For a literary fiction reader to have been caught up in one of my very much genre fiction books makes me very happy. Thank you. :)

Yes, it would. I am a paper book kind of person but I might finally have to give in to an e-reader.
Hope you like The Goldfinch; I read it in 4 days; just couldn't put it down. I love Donna Tartt's stuff; read The Goldfinch, The Secret History - a smashingly good novel. I have The Little Friend on my coffee table.

So sorry to hear Bette:( The latest eReaders are very light too...but do you have one of those book chairs? http://www.bedsonline.com.au/products...
I've heard people who can't hold books, but still want to read the paper ones, say these are really good...
