Jo Rushby | 238 comments Julie I have reserved the girl in the shadows from the library. I didn't know there was a book before this one. I will have to look up the library and see if the previous book is there.

Jo Rushby | 238 comments Thank you Julie. I read the review about The Girl in the Shadows in Good Reading Magazine and thought it was going to be a good read.

message 7058: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn | 3569 comments I'm reading two books at the moment. The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch - a collection of thoughts and life lessons learned by a man diagnosed with pancreatic cancer - things he'd like to pass on to his kids but he's not going to have the time to do this because his time alive is rapidly drawing to an end. It's interesting (and I'm loving the short, bite-sized chapters that can be read in brief moments throughout the day), but I've also started And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini and The Last Lecture is taking a bit of a back seat to this. I'm drawn into the stories of the characters and I just want to keep reading it (longer chapters notwithstanding)!!

Now I am curious. What made you read a book like this? I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with it....I've read books like this from time to time.

I just didn't think it would be your type. And there is so many Literary Romance novels that you could choose from.
