Written in Red is a phenomenal book. I hope you love it, Angie! I finished up Sarah Maclean's series with

I had to stop listening because I was at work and was unfocused on the book. I switched to Feral Sins. I'm loving it. It's hot as heck, and if I get distracted by work for a few seconds, I'm OK.
I am going to have to listen to Written in Red on my commute or just read it the old-fashioned way! It was too intense to miss anything.

I really really liked it a lot.

Right now I am on a Cara McKenna/Meg Maguire binge. I read these:

Out of all 3, the Reluctant Nude was my favorite. It was more Cara McKenna than Meg Maguire. It is set in Nova Scotia and the male character is a French artist -- it was a beautiful story. Second in that group would be Playing Games -- I loved that one, the characters and the setting. The third, -- and it is way behind the other two -- is the second in Cara's new romantic suspense/biker gang series. This is better than the first in the series, a lot better. There are really good scenes and amazing characters in this book but the storyline is not great and the genre makes it hard for it to be great. I feel like she read a lot of romantic suspense novels, mapped out the arc and the story line requirements and then wrote her books. I don't know why she is doing this, it is so anti-her books. But if anyone is interested in the series, the second is kind of worth sticking through. Romantic suspense can be a funny genre -- it even though it has bad things happening throughout there is this happy we are all in this together kind of feeling. But that is not what is great about Cara McKenna. She could write a really dark biker club book that would be so much better. But ah well.
5 stars for the first two. Maybe 3 for the third.

Right now I am on ..."
This is the time of year when we turn to comfort everything, it seems! Comfort food, comfort books, comfort authors...glad you enjoyed them, Regina!

I just finished the second one, and it was still so good. I'm addicted to these two and I only have one left in the series!

I think I need to re-read that. I remember it being okay but not sure why I didn't like it more.

I've been binge reading all of them, lol. I'm on the third now.

That's weird. I wonder why I didn't review it. Do they get more focused on romance - or does the mystery really stay at the heart of them?

Well, I re-read the first one and thought it was a ton of fun. Not sure what my problem was the first time unless I was looking for flat out romance or something.

What are those books, Dee?

I really like them. I'm glad you liked it Tellulah. You were the first person I thought of when I read the first one. :)

:) Thank you for reminding me of it.

I am reading

And I am listening to

I've been reading the Frontier Magic series by Patricia C. Wrede which has some mixed reviews but I'm completely enamoured. (Word of the Day folks: Enamoured. Use it in a sentence). Magic, dragons, mammoths and the wild west. Love it.

Just finished Kindling the Moon which I quite liked. I'll probably move on to book two at some stage soon.

But have a short novella by Merry Farmer, Seeks for Her which I think will be a conservative romance set in the 1860s on the American frontier. Then it's on to a contemporary romance from Tracy Brogan, Love me Sweet.

I do love me those sweet filthy boys. :P The second book is just as good.

I've heard that! I'll add it to my list! :)
I was a little nervous starting it. I'm not exactly a zombie lover, but I really like it!

I really liked that one. Now I need to dive into the Kate Daniels world!

YES! And let me know what you think. I'm curious about how you feel about Kate, having started with Nevada.

That will be my next series once I finish reading Alpha & Omega and listening to Night Huntress! LOL

Wow! I can't wait to read this.

When you get to Alpha & Omega, you need to read the novella first
