Finished
for a team challenge. This was a re-read for me. I put the dates I read this time in the private notes of the review section under options if the captains need to check. This has 376 pgs.
This is a really good thriller suspense novel if you like them. Loved it just as much my second time through
Finished
. The link goes to the audiobook, but I read it on my Kindle (there is no Kindle link available). Odd... Anyway the Kindle edition has 481 pages.
Happy Easter Team! I finished my book but don't have a computer with me so I can't post it yet. I hope to everyone has a beautiful day.
Just finished my re-read of A Novel Approach (last read in 2010) and it has 219 pages for the team challenge.
Current Stats:
Team Books Read/Goal* % of Goal % of 2,013
Team A 1663/6409 = 25.9% 82.6%
Team B 1770/6385 = 27.7% 87.9%
Team C 1794/6321 = 28.3% 89.1%
Team D 1567/6375 = 24.5% 77.8%
Goal totals adjusted, subtracting people who never signed up, or never posted a book.
If your Team is on track, it would be at 24.6% of Goal as of today.
Note: Teams A & C’s adjusted totals have changed because people changed their personal goals (some up, some down). Interestingly, while Team B members also adjusted their goals, they all managed to still keep the same Team goal. Team D’s hasn’t changed b/c Captain Rebecca has been so on top of things, she has been notifying me of their updates as they happen.
Go, Rebecca!I had some reading time last weekend and I finished 3 books! Long time since I had so much time on my hand.
- a realllly good contemporary romance. I loved it. Much better than the previous Knox book I read. 230 (ebook version)
- Supposed to be a retelling of Cinderella but I didn't like it so much. It supposedly took place in the 1300s? but it didn't feel like that. A very average book. 342 (paperback)
- A super fantasy-romance book. The world building was excellent and the meeting of cultures was done beautifully. 314 (MMPB)All 3 count for the captain's challenge.
Just finished
by Keith Miller. It had 288 pagesI will probably be a bit scarce this month because of Camp Nano, so good luck to everyone in your reading endeavors!
I am testing out going to GR on the browser on my new phone while my husband drives us home. Finished this book, 287 pages.

Let me know if you have any trouble "tagging" that book with the correct bookshelf for Team D's challenge. We've been having trouble with people marking them as "read" on mobile devices.
Thanks!
Wow, GR left out my post! So annoying. @LK - I didn't mark the book as read until I got home on my computer. That's probably why you didn't see it. I will try the experiment again with another book.
Finally finished
It has 386 pages.

Since I am putting A Game of Thrones on hold because I had to give it back to my library, I'll now start The Historian.
Finished
last night with 480 pages.Going to pick up
from the library this evening, so I'll probably be starting one of those tonight. Continuing with
until then.
Good morning everyone! I just wanted to give everyone a quick little update. Here are the current standings:
Team C - 1825 books
Team B - 1793 books
Team A - 1691 books
Team D - 1609 books
While I have been back checking your books, please take a minute or two to double check your Team D shelves. Non-fiction books do count.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Good morning, Team!! Thanks for the update, Rebecca.I finished
last night. 305 pages Also counts for the Mini challenge - Letter S. And I think it counts toward the April Challenge with a blue cover.I have started
Marsha Canham writes the most amazing pirate/swashbuckling hero stories. Just incredible. But I'm having a hard time pinning down the page numbers for the book. Amazon says 278 estimated.
Just finished
which I think should count for the April Monthly Challenge!
426 pages for the Captain's challenge!

Rebecca - I just got this in from the library. It was recommended to me by a co-worker. What did you think of it?
Finished
by Nicholas Sparkscounts for 210 pages towards captains challenge
also counts toward spring challenge
I am unsure if it is blue enough for the April challenge?
Getting ready to read
unfortunately this is too short for Tower Team Challenge
The OrchardistRebecca - I really liked it. It's long, but I felt that as soon as it started to drag, something drastic happened to make it interesting again. It's a somber book and for some reason I want to describe it as "quiet". Its beautifully written, but there aren't many parts where something big and "in your face" happens. haha sorry it's hard to describe, I'm still sorting out my feelings about it.
I have a question about the Earth Day challenge. Do the elements need to be an image (picture) or can a word in the title be used, i.e. Mountain (Earth), Ocean/s, etc? Also, can a cover like the one on this book
be used? Would that be considered an Earth picture?
Rhonda, since you set the challenge, you get to decide what goes. For what it's worth, I'd say yes to pic or a word in title. The Kite Runner is showing both sky and Earth so a definite Yes :)
Thanks, Vi. I feel I need to defer or at least reach out for guidance from someone with experience. I believe you're "my girl" in that arena. :-)
Huh, we'll, since the goal is to have fun, let's just say either the cover OR the title must link to the five elements. So as an example, these words work: Mountain, Sea, River, Wind, Gale etc. Does that make sense?
I have a particular word in mind - Sunset. It's cloudy to me (pardon the pun). What do you think? Is it a stretch? I'm not sure.
Spring Mini Challenge & Monthly ChallengeJust finished:
Across a Moonlit Sea by Marsha Canham - the Sea is a Water Element and the book has both blue and green on the cover. 388 pages on Kindle.
Don't forget to add your page numbers if you want your book to count toward the Captain's Challenge.
Fogot this would work for the April challenge as well - Moon/Sky and blue cover.LOL I can't keep all these challenges straight
this was ok 374 pgs (finished and origianl post on 4/2/13)
Just finished
. Loved it!! It counts for the Captains Challenge with 278 pages. And it counts toward the mini challenge with the letter S and it counts toward the April Challenge - the cover is a picture of the ocean.@Lisa Kay - I marked the book as "read" using my app on my tablet. I see it in my list of books for this challenge. Not sure what else to check.
@Melissa - I know!! It's a little crazy!!
@Chris - that is one of my favorites!! Hope you enjoyed it. It's not everyone's cuppa tea. But I love her madly!!
just finished
, 246 pages for the Captain's ChallengeThere is a picture of the Earth on the cover (it's the smaller planet); however, I read half of the book in March, and half in April, so I'm not sure if it counts for the April Monthly Challenge.
