Thank you Leslie. As I said before, I really appreciate what you and Vi did to help me out. It also helped that we had an awesome team.

At the end of the day, "devouring" 1800 books in 14 weeks is incredible!

❉⊰Gayle⊱❉ (ziastar) | 67 comments I've enjoyed being a part of this group! Thank you all for the challenges, the recommendations on books, keeping track of us all and cheering us on. We didn't come in First place, but we kept everyone else from being last! That was just as important. I hope to be on a team with you again.

To me what matters is that we had fun and enjoyed it.

Donna Wolczyk | 75 comments Congratulations to Team C!!! I agree with everyone else, this was a great team. Thanks so much to all the Captains, and everyone else for the challenges, recommendations, and general helpfulness. Good luck to every one in Round II!! :)

Vi | 1758 comments I second Leslie. Rebecca did an awesome awesome job as our captain! Leslie, you were awesome too - keeping this group active. Huge thanks to both of you.

Great job, Team D! I had so much fun with you people.

message 1759: by Vi (new)

Vi | 1758 comments @Leslie - I felt the same way. First time I picked it up, it wasn't that great but after going through the second book, I'm firmly in the Love camp.

@Melissa - how did you like The Gamble (Colorado Mountain, #1) by Kristen Ashley ? I thought it needed more editing - it was a little too long in the middle.

message 1760: by Vi (new)

Vi | 1758 comments Since it's going to be smaller teams, it definitely will be much longer than Round I. I'm thinking it should take at least 5-6 mths but not sure though.

Tricia Schneider (triciaschneider) | 115 comments Congrats to Team C! And great job, Team D! I've had a lot of fun with this team. It's been a great pleasure reading with you! :)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 2240 comments Thanks, Vi!! It was fun working with you as co-captain.

And I agree, smaller teams will mean longer challenge. And that's good in my book!

I enjoyed the book....who knew a book would be set in the town of Gnaw Bone *giggle*
I tend to gobble up anything Kristen Ashley. Maybe it's me but it seems lately esp with ebooks there needs to be way more editors out there?!? Or they are in a hurry to publish to book...not sure which. I try *not always easy* to ignore the mistakes that I find in the books. My thought was that the ending/finale to the mystery was kind of a "what the hell" moment for me or maybe my brain wasn't firing on all cylinders cuz that was NOT what I expected. Hmm will be interesting to see what book two is like.

Leana (Flickering Fandom) (flickeringfandom) | 264 comments Just wanted to say I loved being part of this team, and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. Huge thanks to the captains for making everything flow smoothly, and to everyone for making me feel welcome!

Hoping to see at least a few of you on Radical Red for Round II, as myself and Michelle are captain-ing!

message 1765: by Vi (new)

Vi | 1758 comments @Melissa - definitely need more books edited. R.L. Mathhewsom also needs an editor though from what I remember, she's hired an editor or close recently?! Yep, I agree. The mystery part was a really WTH? moment. And really, just when I thought the book was about to end, tat mystery thing happened. It was like the author forgot about in it in between. Have you read her 'burg series? I found it was better than her others that I read.

message 1766: by ~Melissa~ (new)

~Melissa~ I haven't read the "burg series....yet ☺
I have it on my nook. I'll get to it sometime this year. I'm on a yr long challenge to read all of her series

I agree...thank you to a great team led by the best captains. We may not have won, but I've thoroughly enjoyed this challenge with all of you.

Rebecca NJ (njreader) | 2120 comments Thank you Faith and Marla! It was a pleasure having you both on our team.

I will be keeping an eye on the other threads so we'll still cross paths I'm sure.
