2012 September Pick It For Me! Challenge

Baseball - From Their To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:
Home Run: Recommend a book from one their favorite authors, it is sure to be a home run.
Glass Houses, rachel caine
Field of Dreams: If you build it they will come... Suggest a paranormal romance, a book with time travel, or a book set in a time or place you would love to travel to.
Fantasy Lover, sherrilyn kenyon
Clean Up Hitter: To clean up their shelves, pick the next book in a series your pickee has enjoyed, especially if it is a new release or a series they seem to have forgotten.
Frost Burned, patricia briggs
World Series: Who are they kidding, at best it should be called the North America Series, even that is stretching it - there is only one team based out of the US in Canada. So suggest a book set outside the US.
Bitten, kelley armstrong
Football - From Your Shelves or New to Them:
First and Goal: Suggest a new author or genre that you think your pickee will love.
Twisted, andrea kane
Friday Night Lights: Pick a book that has been or will be made into a movie or TV show.
The Hunger Games, suzanne collins
Touchdown: Recommend one of your five star reads from this year.
Cry Wolf, patricia briggs
Super Bowl: Honestly, it isn't usually that super. The best playoff games are often before they make it all the way to the Super Bowl. But the point is the journey, so suggest a book that you loved that is in a series, either a continuation for your pickee or a new to them series you think they will love too.
A Quick Bite, lynsay sands

Home Run: Lover Reborn
Field of Dreams: Eternal Rider
Clean Up Hitter: Iron Kissed
World Series: About Last Night
First and Goal: Naked in Death
Friday Night Lights: My Sister's Keeper
Touchdown: Wild Card
Super Bowl: Seduce Me at Sunrise

Baseball -
Home Run: I see that you’re a fan and reading the first in this series… http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12...
Field of Dreams: These books are usually fun, and I liked this one http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/29...
Clean Up Hitter: I really like Julia Quinn; I see you read the first in the series and rated it 5 stars http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/86...
World Series: This one from your TBR is set in Russia http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/83...
Football -
First and Goal: This book is a bit different than your typical read, but I think that you’d like it—it’s about a woman who loses memory of the last ten years of her life. It’s a page-turner that makes you think. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/64...
Friday Night Lights: This is a fabulous book, although different than your usual reads. I’m afraid that I couldn’t think of movie romances that you hadn’t already read. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/46...
Touchdown: This is a heart-wrenching (but hopeful) and thoughtful page-turner. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10...
Super Bowl: I see that you’ve read the first couple of books in this series; I recall liking the third in it as well http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/40...

I can't decide if sticking to one pick per category made this harder or easier. At any rate, if none of these appeal to you I am more than happy to take another shot at it.
Baseball - From Their To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:
Home Run: Archangel's Blade
Field of Dreams: Ruthless Game
Clean Up Hitter: Lover Mine (My favorite in the series.)
World Series: The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie (I just read this and adored it!)
Football - From Your Shelves or New to Them:
First and Goal: The Other Boleyn Girl (Philippa Gregory is one of my favorite Historical Fiction writers)
Friday Night Lights:The Great Gatsby (I re-read this earlier this year and was amazed!)
Touchdown: Say Her Name: A Novel (This was the hardest category for me. I don't give 5 stars easily, and the ones I do are usually for doorstoppers. Since I'm giving you a doorstopper for the next rec, here is a shorter book!)
Super Bowl: Outlander (One of my absolute favorite series!)
I hope you like at least one of these! If not,let me know!

Ok so I think you picked for me a few months back so now I get to return the favor! Here are my picks for my fellow football fan!
Baseball - From Their To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:
Home Run: Mystery Man. Ok so I literally just finished reading this book about 5 minutes ago and it was AWESOME!!! I couldn't put it down so I highly recommend it!
Field of Dreams: Outlander. This is the original time traveling romance story. It is long but really worth it!
Clean Up Hitter: Glory in Death. I love this series.
World Series: Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake This one is based in England and it is another one of my favorite stories.
Football - From Your Shelves or New to Them:
First and Goal: The Marriage Bargain Just read this one too and loved it.
Friday Night Lights: Darkfever. This is a great series and I think there has been talk of it becoming a tv show. I hope it does!
Touchdown: Waterfall. This is a YA book and somebody else recommended it for a PIFM challenge. I loved it and wasn't expecting too.
Super Bowl: Some Girls Bite Ok so I love this series. I love it so much the next one just came out and I can't wait to read it! Very good and fun!
Ok so there are your picks. I hope you enjoy and find one or two you like. Let me know if not and I will repick for you!
Happy Reading!
Megan L.

No problem, Jane - I can be patient...I hope! :)

BASEBALL
1. Home Run:

=> It's not on your to-read shelf, but it should be :) Simone Elkeles is also one of my favorite authors.
2. Field of Dream:

=> I haven't read it either, but I'm going to. It's about time traveling and people said it's great, so I decided to give it a chance.
3. Clean Up Hitter:

=> Loved it!
4. World Series:

=> It takes place in Greece.
FOOTBALL
1. First & Goal:

=> It's a GLBT (M/M) and I've noticed that you've never read one of these kind of books. I'm also new to this genre, but I enjoyed this book so much that I think you might as well :)
2. Friday Night Light:

=> The author announced that film right to this novel has been sold, but we'll have to wait and see what will happen next. Anyway, I think it's a great book and what's more, it's all about football!
3. Touchdown:

=> I read this one a few weeks ago and still couldn't get it out of my mind...lol. It's romantic (which I think you'll enjoy, judging from the books you have read) and heartbreaking (it made me cry).
4. Super Bowl:

=> I read this with a couple of Goodreads buddies a few months back. Paranormal romance is not my thing, but this one got me hooked. If you read this one, I'm sure you'll read the other two in the series.
So there you have it, Nancy. Let me know if you'd like a different recommendation. Enjoy!

I had fun looking through your shelves. We like a lot of the same books, so I hope I pick some that sound good to you.
Baseball
1. Home Run - Since it is suppose to be from your TBR, I choose By a Thread by Jennifer Estep as you seem to have enjoyed the rest of the series (as have I).
2. Field of Dreams - Ok, I'm going to cheat a little on this one and the next. Neither book is from your TBR (but I will pick 2 books from your TBR in the football categories). The Wizard of Seattle by Kay Hooper is PNR and has time-travel. It is an oldie, but goodie as they travel back to before Atlantis fell to find out why women aren't allowed to have magical powers.
3. Clean Up Hitter - Blackhearted Betrayal by Kasey MacKenzie. I haven't run across a lot of people who have read this series that we both seem to enjoy and if you want, I'd be happy to buddy read this one with you.
4. World Series - The Corset Diaries by Katie MacAlister takes place in England and is a fun read. Plus I thought you might need a non-paranormal option in here.

Football
5. First and Goal - Red-Headed Stepchild by Jaye Wells. It starts a good UF series about a half vampire/half mage assassin in a world where the two races hate each other.
6. Friday Night Lights - a slightly harder category and I expect a lot of people will end up recommending this series, but it is an excellent one (although I was less than thrilled with the first couple of books, so if you want to skip to book 3 or 4 to start, feel free) - Storm Front by Jim Butcher, which is on your TBR (as were all the options I was considering in this category)
7. Touchdown - I'm a bit of a hard rater, so the only 5 star I've given this year was to a re-read - Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie. But I love this book and the story of Cranky Agnes with her lethal frying pans and Shane, the hitman who is asked to protect her. Lots of kooky characters and good humor.
8. Super Bowl - I had two series that I really wanted to recommend here (both are on your TBR), but I will follow the rules and choose the longer one - Tempting Danger by Eileen Wilks. I really like Lily and Rule and love her grandmother. Good shapeshifter and magic series.

I can't decide if sticking to one pick per category made this harder or easier. At any rate, if none of these appeal to you I am more than happy to take another shot at it.
Base..."
Thanks Sandy - don't worry about repicks - there are a few in your list that I really want to read :) I'm going to have trouble picking! Argh - I can't decide!!! I'll have to get back to you - I can ponder my dilemma during work for the next 6 hours :)

Here are your picks. This is my first time, so if I have made a booboo or if there isn't a book you want to read, please let me know and I'll pick again for you, otherwise, enjoy :)
Baseball:
* Home run: "Angel Beach" Tess Oliver http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15...
* Field of Dreams: "Throne of Glass" Sarah J Maas http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/78...
* Clean up Hitter: "Out of Breath" Rebecca Donovan http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...
* World Series: "Someone Named Eva" Joan M Wolf http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...
Football:
* First and Goal: "Shift" Em Bailey http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11...
* Friday Night Lights: "One Day" David Nicholls http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/62...
* Touchdown: "The Help" Kathryn Stockett http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/46...
* Superbowl: "So I'm a Double Threat" Julie Prestater http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10...
Sorry about the links, I have forgotten how to embed it in text...

Hope you like the picks. If you need something changed, please let me know.
Home Run - Public Displays of Affection - since you didn't have a favorite author list, I went with what you read and liked
Field of Dreams - Radiant Shadows - one the few PNRs you had on your TBR! :)
Clean Up Hitter - Hidden Summit - 17 books is super long to commit, keep going!
World Series - Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake
First and Goal - Club Shadowlands - very short but VERY good
Friday Night Lights - The Host - so you liked Twilight, I hope you like Stephenie Meyer's foray into "adult-like" fiction. I super liked this one.
Touchdown - Easy - this is categorized as "mature" Young Adult. One of my favorite reads this year!
Super Bowl - Mystery Man - extremely buzzworthy! This book hooked me onto the Kristen Ashley train!

Home Run: Try the new Susan Elizabeth Phillips The Great Escape It's fun.
Field of Dreams: Try the next book in the Night Huntress series At Grave's End I would be willing to read this with you.
Clean Up Hitter: Nothing But Trouble the next in the Chinooks series
Work Series: The Demon's Lexicon takes place in England
First and Goal: Doesn't look like you've read Cindy Gerard Show No Mercy is the first in Black Ops series
Friday Night Lights I hear they are making a movie of Fifty Shades of Grey
Touchdown: I'm pretty stingy with my 5 stars so A Monster Calls which is a good YA but doesn't fall in the romance category
Super Bowl Moon Called is on your TBR. It's a great series that gets better as it goes on.
Hope something here works.

Baseball
Home Run Led Astray AND The Devil's Own
Field of Dreams Spur of the Moment
Clean Up Hitter Must Love Hellhounds
World Series Captured by the Highlander
Football
First and Goal Your Gift to Me Bonnie is a new author. I really like her book. We lived in Greece together (our husbands were in the Air Force).
Friday Night Lights Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13
Touchdown Secrets of a Summer Night
Super Bowl To Tame A Highland Warrior
Happy Reading!! Ruth Ann

Home Run: Lover Reborn
Field of Dreams: Eternal Rider
Clean Up Hitter: Iron Kissed
World Series: About Last Night
First and Goal: Naked in Death
Friday Nig..."
Thanks for the picks Breann!
I'm going to read Iron Kissed and Naked in Death

Baseball - From Their To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:
Home Run:Gunmetal Magic
You've read all the others and you seemed to like them almost as much as me! Enjoy the next in the series.
Field of Dreams: Dragon Bound
I love this book and I noticed you had not read it yet. This needs to be remedied!
Clean Up Hitter: Malice
In honor of my hometown, this is the next in a series you seem to enjoy.
World Series:The Winter Sea
This is a little different book than you seem to typically read, but I loved it. It is set in Scotland and it is a lovely story.
Football - From Your Shelves or New to Them:
First and Goal: Heartbreaker
This is an author you don't seem to have read and I love her. This is the first in one of her Romantic Suspense series, and I really enjoyed it.
Friday Night Lights: The Help
I loved the book better than the movie. But both are wonderful. Highly recommend this one!
Touchdown:Firelight
This is another new author for you and a different genre - paranormal historical. I loved it - kind of dark and wonderful.
Super Bowl:Shadow Game
I love this series and you might like it too. I will be reading this book this month, so if you would like to Buddy Read, let me know.

Here are your picks. Please let me know if they do not interest you, this being my first challenge, I want to make you happy!
Baseball - From Their To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:
Home Run: Suspicion by Kate Brian.
Field of Dreams: Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh
Clean Up Hitter: Perfect by Sara Shepard
World Series: The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson (I am putting this title on my TBR list!)
Football - From Your Shelves or New to Them:
First and Goal: Fallen by Lauren Kate
Friday Night Lights: Heartsick by Chelsea Cain
Touchdown: Envy by Sandra Brown
Super Bowl: One For The Money by Janet Evanovich.
Happy Reading!
Jodi

Baseball - From Their To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:
Home Run: Ok, we both love Jill Shalvis and this is a sports-based challenge, so what better book to start off with than Double Play?
Field of Dreams: You've read the first few Black Dagger Brotherhood books and rated them highly, and Lara Adrian's Midnight Breeds series has a lot of similarities to it, so how about giving the first book, Kiss of Midnight a chance?
Clean Up Hitter: You read the first several of the Stephanie Plum books and seemed to like them, maybe it's time to get back to the series with Hard Eight.
World Series: Guarding Suzannah is the first book in a really good Romantic Suspense series set in New Brunswick, Canada.
Football - From Your Shelves or New to Them:
First and Goal: It doesn't look like you read a lot of historical romance, but you have rated some very highly, so how about giving The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie a shot? It's kind of quirky and different, but very good.
Friday Night Lights: The TV series didn't last, but Sh*t My Dad Says is a funny, heartwarming book.
Touchdown: Misunderstanding Mason is such a sweet, emotional story that really grabbed me.
Super Bowl: Since I started off with a book set around baseball, I guess it's only fair that I give football equal treatment. I was surprised to see that you didn't have any Susan Elizabeth Phillips on your Read shelf - a great way to remedy that situation would be to read It Had to Be You - the first book in her wonderful Chicago Stars series.
I hope you find something you like, Lexa - if not, let me know because I have lots of other ideas. Staying to one choice per category was definitely an exercise in self-control for me! :)

So I'm one of the "multiple-picks-per-category" culprits and I'm still itching to throw more recs on here, but I'll be a good girl. Here it goes...
Baseball ~ From Your TBR
1. Home Run Romantic Suspense can be hit or miss for me so I was happy to find one of my favs on your list. Deadly Fear by Cynthia Eden
2. Field of Dreams: Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison is one of my few 5 star reads last year and definitely one of my favorite series.
3. Clean Up Hitter: Playing to Win by Jaci Burton comes out in early September and since you're a huge fan of this series I figure it's a no brainer.
4. World Series: The Iron Duke by Meljean Brook starts out in London and then travels throughout Europe.
Football ~ From My Shelves (rubbing hands evilly)
5. First and Goal: I know you enjoy Romantic Suspense, but have you ever tried the m/m version? Warrior's Cross by Abigail Roux is a great place to start. It has a sexy cover and a very sexy inside :)
6. Friday Night Lights: Ok, so here's where I ask you to really think a little outside the box. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon is one of my all time favorite reads and it really doesn't fit neatly into any one genre. My only advice is think of it as a Historical Novel rather than a Historical Romance. In this first book, the romance doesn't start until halfway through. Just let yourself become immersed in Gabaldon's highly descriptive world.
7. Touchdown: This was the hardest category for me to pick because I don't give out 5 stars very often. In fact, I only gave out 2 this year, although I've read a lot of very good 4 and 4½ star books. I thought maybe I'd pick from there, but it was too hard to pick just one so I stuck hard to the rules. The Reluctant Dom by Tymber Dalton was recommended to me by Yz way back in the Jan PIFM challenge. It's a serious tear jerker. A sexy tear jerker, yes, but be prepared with a full box of tissues.
8. Super Bowl: I love that you're a Shelly Laurenston fan. It seems that people either lover her or hate her. I'm in your camp with the lovin'. Did you know that she writes under other names as well. She writes one of my favorite series under the name G.A. Aiken and it starts off with Dragon Actually. It gets funnier and sexier with each installment. I am eagerly awaiting The Dragon Who Loved Me, which comes out on the 1st. Can't wait!

I hope you find something you like among these picks, but if not, I have a huge list just waiting...
Happy Reading!

1. Home Run: World Without EndI saw that you had read a lot from this author, and you seemed to rate him pretty high!
2. Field of Dreams: Water for Elephants- I think it would be amazing to get to go to a circus in the 30's. Such a fun event that so many people looked forward to!
3. Clean Up Hitter: Faefever
4. World Series: Le Bourgeois gentilhommeI am just assuming that is does not take place in the US. I couldn't read the description though! I saw you had read lots by this author, and that you liked to read in the language the book was originally written in. I hope this fits that criteria!
5. First and Goal: To Kill a MockingbirdWhen I saw that this was on your TBR I knew I had to find a place to recommend it! Such a moving classic!
6. Friday Night Lights: The Secret Life of BeesI read this book before I saw the movie and loved both! This is a story that is close to my heart as my family raises honeybees also. Such a sweet book.
7. Touchdown: The Reluctant DomI honestly have no clue if you will like this book or not, but the basic story line has really stuck with me for the past couple of weeks. I gave it five stars simply for the amount of emotion I felt while reading it.
8. Superbowl: Vampire Academy- I saw that you had read Twilight and enjoyed them. I also saw this in your TBR. I loved this series and finished the entire thing in about a week! Very addicting!
Let me know if you need any repicks!

BASEBALL
1. Home Run:

=> It's not on your to-read shelf, but it should be :) Simone Elkeles is also one of my favorite authors.
2. Field of Dream: [bo..."
Thank you, Gisbelle. I have read the Harry Potter ones and one of the others, but long enough ago that they aren't on my "read" list so you would have no way to have known that. No worries- there are still plenty for me to pick from......now I must decide which one to start with...hmmmm....decisions, decisions. I'm sure I will enjoy whichever ones I pick, so thanks for the good recs.

Hey Elizabeth those are wonderful picks, thanks for patience and your time digging my shelves, I'll be chosing 1 or two books to read this month. I'll keep you on track. Thanks !

This is my first time in the PIFM challenge, and I've tried to follow all the rules, but please let me know if I've missed something or you need a re-pick. You have such varied taste in books, wow! So, I tried to give you a variety of genres in my picks, at least the genres that I'm familiar with.
Baseball - From Their To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:
Home Run: Winter Garden, Kristin Hannah
One of the author's other books was on your favorites list, and this one was in your TBR. I read it a month or so ago, and I enjoyed it. It's an emotional read.
Field of Dreams: Overseas, Beatriz Williams
Clean Up Hitter: Scandal Wears Satin, Loretta Chase
OK, so this one is not on your TBR list, but you read the first in the series and liked it, and this one came out this year. The first book is on my TBR list, too!
World Series: The Shadow of the Wind, Carlos Ruiz Zafon
Football - From Your Shelves or New to Them:
First and Goal: I noticed that you like YA and romance. I recently discovered Eva Ibbotson, whose books are considered YA, but are really more like light romance. I'm finishing A Company of Swans now, and it's just lovely.
Friday Night Lights: The Ruby in the Smoke, Phillip Pullman
You've read some other Phillip Pullman, but not his Sally Lockhart series. The first in the series, Ruby in the Smoke, was made into a BBC drama at one point, but the books are YA/mystery/romance and are really very good.
Touchdown: Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake, Sarah Maclean
Super Bowl: It's In His Kiss, Julia Quinn
This is book 7 of the Bridgertons. I couldn't find it on any of your shelves, but you read all the others in the series except books 7 and 8.

1. Home Run: Ain't She Sweet bySusan Elizabeth Phillips
2. Field of dreams: given your dislike of paranormal I decided to go with a book set in a place I'd like to visit: London, England. If you're interested I would be interested in buddy reading Seduce Me at Sunrise by Lisa Kleypas with you.
3. Clean up Hitter: Golden Trail by Kristen Ashley
4. World Series: Fast Women by Jennifer Crusie
5. First & Goal Making Waves by Tawna Fenske
6. Friday Night Lights: Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden
7. Touchdown: I don't have many 5 stars read this year. Fewer still that aren't paranormal. It came down to two books. I chose Room by Emma Donoghue
8. Superbowl: Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean- She's not a pushover

Baseball - From Their To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:
Home Run: Elizabeth I by Margaret George
Field of Dreams: The Earl's Mistaken Bride by Abby Gaines
Clean Up Hitter: Daughters of Rome by Kate Quinn (haven't read it, but you rated the first book pretty high)
World Series: The Maid of Fairbourne Hall by Julie Klassen (A fabulous Regency romance)
Football - From Your Shelves or New to Them:
First and Goal: A Passion Most Pure by Julie Lessman (This is one of my ALL-TIME favorite books)
Friday Night Lights: Thr3e by Ted Dekker (I haven't seen the movie, but this book gave me chills)
Touchdown: Short-Straw Bride by Karen Witemeyer (I LOVED this book)
Super Bowl: Gallagher's Pride by M.K. McClintock

Oh, Rena was in both lists so I have done a list for her also! Does this mean Rena has twice as many to read? :P

I hope you enjoy your picks. You don't have a whole lot on your to be read lists so for the second set I really enjoyed picking some books that I loved that you did not have on your lists. I hope you find something you will enjoy.
BASEBALL - From Their To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:
Home Run: Styxx I see you love the Dark Hunter series, time for the next in the series.
Field of Dreams:Delirium
Clean Up Hitter: Heart of Atlantis I see you have read quite a few in these series.
World Series: A Discovery of Witches I loved this book. It is set in England and France
FOOTBALL - From Your Shelves or New to Them:
First and Goal: Garden Spells I enjoyed this book it is a bit different than the average book. It has a little bit of magic and romance but not obviously. I put off reading this and once I did I could not put it down.
Friday Night Lights: Storm Front This was a short lived TV series that was pretty good. I love this series though and was sad that it did not continue as TV series.
Touchdown: The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane This was a book recommended to me and I really loved it. It was a fascinating book that is partly based in truth.
Super Bowl: Dark Lover This is a great series that was recommended to me in a past PIFM challenge.

I had great fun looking through your read shelf. Hopefully you will find something here that you’ll enjoy reading.
Baseball Picks
Home Run: Favourite authors for me are books that I can read again and again and again. So for the home run category I’m going to suggest that you do a re-read of the wonderful and amazing Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
Field of Dreams Irony of ironys – the effect of magic actually tears buildings down in this book. I can’t recommend Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews highly enough. This series has some of the best world building I’ve ever read.
Clean Up Hitter: You haven’t read the sixth book in the Mercy Thompson series yet. I loved it – it’s a chance to see Mercy and Adam away from all the pack politics as well as finding out a bit more about Mercy’s origins. Pick up River Marked by Patricia Briggs.
World Series: I haven’t read this series but a friend recently recommended it to me. I know you’ve read some of the Riley Jenson series but haven’t rated the last few – if you’re still enjoying it pick up The Darkest Kiss by Keri Arthur.

Football Picks
First and Goal: Lauren Dane has written some of my favourite characters. Somehow they feel real and flawed and for that reason they speak more to me than any perfect hero/heroine. Laid Bare is the first in the Brown Siblings series and a fantastic book to introduce you to Lauren Dane’s writing.
Friday Night Lights:
“He held up a book then. “I'm going to read it to you for relax.”
“Does it have any sports in it?”
“Fencing. Fighting. Torture. Poison. True Love. Hate. Revenge. Giants. Hunters. Bad men. Good men. Beautifulest Ladies. Snakes. Spiders... Pain. Death. Brave men. Cowardly men. Strongest men. Chases. Escapes. Lies. Truths. Passion. Miracles.”
“Sounds okay,” I said and I kind of closed my eyes.”
Enough said - pick up a copy of William Goldman’s The Princess Bride.
Touchdown: I haven’t really had many five star books lately and those that I have have mostly been in the middle of series. So I’m going to suggest you pick up a copy of The Lost Locket by Marie Harte which I read a little more than a year ago. There were particular issues in this book that spoke personally to me which was the reason for a 5 star rating but I think you might enjoy it.
Super Bowl: Ann Aguirre’s Grimspace is the start of a series that I love (I need to do a re-read to get a rating which is why it’s not on my read list). Great characters, interesting world building and a series plot that promises to have guts and depth.

Hmmmm, I wonder what I did wrong... Just figured it out, I messed up the links. I am so sorry! There are two Renas, but I have the link for the same one in both spots.
Misskim, you were actually supposed to pick for Rena. I understand if you don't want to make picks again, I like making picks so will take care of it. But if you would rather, you can make picks again. Again, I am so sorry for the mix up!

That's ok, this is my first time so I am happy to pick some more. I had a quick look and we have some books in common so this one might be easier. Thanks for organising this for us!

Thanks for the pics! I already have Elizabeth I on my kindle so I'm going to try and read that one and Gallagher's Pride sounds pretty cool! :)

Hope you can find something to love and adore :p

I was happy to see you have LOTS of books on your "to read" shelf...I hope you keep it updated and haven't read all of the following picks!
Baseball
Home Run : Since you have a whole shelf devoted to Lora Leigh, I chose one of hers from a series you seemed to enjoy - Wicked Sacrifice
Field of Dreams : I chose A Hunger Like No Other because I recently started this PNR series and am enjoying it so I thought you should give it a try to!
Clean Up Hitter : I noticed you either stopped reading or stopped marking as read the Black Dagger Brotherhood series so I chose Lover Unleashed.
World Series : For this, I chose to send you across the pond and back in time with Yours Until Dawn, one of my favorites by this author.
Football
First and Goal : Both a new author and genre for you The Forest of Hands and Teeth(this is one of my favorite series which is only a trilogy at this point).
Friday Night Lights : I believe they are making a movie out of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. I am not one to read a book just because "everyone" is reading it, but this was worth it! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book and still wonder why I was so reluctant to read it.
Touchdown : Most of the books I gave 5 stars to this year are the latest in a series that I read so this was tough. I am going to suggest Charming the Prince because I read the second in this series this year and gave both books in the series 5 stars.
Superbowl : I noticed Size 12 Is Not Fat on your to read shelf and with the fourth book in the series just out, I thought I'd recommend you start the series. This is a lot of fun with a some light mystery and romance thrown in.
Hope you find something you like! Can't wait to see what you go with :)
Happy Reading!

Here are your September picks! I hope you find something you like. Let me know what you think.
Baseball - From Their To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:
Home Run: Hot as Sin (Hot Shots Men of Fire #2)
Field of Dreams: Peach Keeper I’ve enjoyed all of Sarah Addison Allen’s books. Her books have this Southern, magical-dreamy quality to them.
Clean Up Hitter: Softly at Sunrise (KGI #5.5) Released last week! I need to catch up on this series too.
World Series: A Discovery of Witches: demons, witches and vampires all fixated on a manuscript found in an Oxford library. I devoured this doorstop of a book in two days. Although it gets a bit rambling in historical detail, the character dialogue is simple and goes quickly.
Football - From Your Shelves or New to Them:
First and Goal: Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires #1) Merit is a grad student turned vamp who has the predictable problems adjusting to her new lifestyle. The fun begins when she stands Sentinel for her vampire house and learns to use a kata sword!
Friday Night Lights: The Surgeon (Jane Rizzoli & Maura Isles #1) I don’t know if you’ve caught any episodes of this show on TNT. The books are darker than the series, I am looking forward to reading book 10, Last to Die just released today.
Touchdown: Beautiful Ruins : I just finished this book! Spanning decades, this book alternates between the 60s and present day, telling the stories of a Hollywood actress hopeful, an Italian inn owner and the man who throws them together.
Super Bowl: Then Comes Seduction (Huxtable Quintet #2) by Mary Balogh. I’ve read this series out of order and liked books 2, 3 and 5 in the series.
Happy reading!

Great! Thanks Rishika, looking forward to seeing your picks again.

It was fun going through your shelves. I hope you find something you like here- if you need some different choices just let me know :)

Home Run:Endgame
Field of Dreams: This Case Is Gonna Kill Me
Clean Up Hitter: A Lady by Midnight
World Series:The Ugly Duchess
Football - From Your Shelves or New to Them:
First and Goal:new author- Forever Freed (I've heard really good things about this one and it's a genre you like. I have this on my tbr to get to soon)
Friday Night Lights: Fifty Shades of Grey
Touchdown: Comfort Food
Super Bowl: Eve Langlais writes snarky, sexy, shifters really well. This is the first in a series and I am going to read this one this month if you would like to join me. A Demon And His Witch

Here are your September picks! I hope you find something you like. Let me know what you think.
Baseball - From Their To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:
Home Run: Hot as Sin (Hot..."
Thanks Roxy! I am definitely reading Softly at Sunrise this month and will try to read more if I can fit them in!

Baseball
Home Run: BoneMan's Daughters
Field of Dreams:Alpha Instinct
Clean Up Hitter:The Bride Wore Blue: A Novel
World Series:Ekaterina: Heirs of Anton
Football
First and Goal: Easy
Friday Night Lights:One For The Money
Touchdown:My Life Next Door
Super Bowl:Two for the Dough
{This one would need to be read after One For the Money :)}

These are my picks for you I hope you enjoy them. If there are any categories you want me to pick a different book for just let me know.
Home Run: Covet by J.R. Ward. You have read 10 of her other books and this one is a good start to a new series by her.

Field of Dreams: The Mane Event by Shelly Laurenston a paranormal romance book.

Clean Up Hitter: Street Game by Christine Feehan, the next book in a series you seem to enjoy.

World Series: Demon from the Dark by Kresley Cole. It is set in the Demon World, that’s outside the US right? lol

First and Goal: Kristen Ashley! I suggest you start with Rock Chick it is the first book in one of her series and I absolutely love it. She is a recent discovery for me and I just started reading her books this year. Just to give you a small idea about how much I love her. In one year I have read 18 of her books.

Friday Night Lights: The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. This is my favorite Sparks book and it was made into a movie. However I do believe that the movie is a poor representation of a great book.

Touchdown: Ummm so I am an extremely tough critic and have to be willing to bow at the authors feet if I give them a 5. Keeping this is mind I have only rated one book 5 stars this whole year and that book is Law Man. The problem is that this book is the 3rd in a series. So next best is A Kingdom of Dreams by Judith McNaught. I gave this book 4.5 stars

Super Bowl: Eternal Pleasure by Nina Bangs. I loved this book for its originality. It is about Dinosaur shape shifters. Which is a first for me. In total the series has 3 books so far but I believe the author is going to continue adding books.

Baseball - From Their To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:
Home Run: It looks like you really enjoy Molly Harper and you have Driving Mr. Dead on your shelf, I've heard good things about it.
Field of Dreams: Here I am going to suggest you get back to Kresley Cole's IAD series. It looks like Dark Desires After Dusk is next for you. I really want to get back to this series myself!
Clean Up Hitter: Seems like you have forgotten the Night Huntress books. They are some of my favorites! I like to read things in chronological order and next for you would be First Drop of Crimson by Jeaniene Frost, it doesn't feature Cat and Bones, but it is still quite good!
World Series: Set in England, how about Heartless by Gail Carriger? I am not as far in the series as you, but I really liked the world the author created.
Football - From Your Shelves or New to Them:
First and Goal: It looks like you enjoy historical romance, a fun new(er) author is Sarah MacLean. I really enjoy her books! The first one I read, and the one I'm recommending, is Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake. I think you would enjoy it!
Friday Night Lights: Have you heard they are making a TV movie of Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor? It looks like you've enjoyed Lisa Kleypas's historicals, I think this series is quite good too! This one is sweet even if it is too short.
Touchdown: I have devoured every book in this series and loved them all! Jill Shalvis's Lucky Harbor books are so very good and they begin with Simply Irresistible.
Super Bowl: You've read one of Susan Elizabeth Phillips's books and rated it very highly. Her Chicago Stars series is one of my favorites! It begins with It Had to Be You. I think you would like it, the first paragraph hooked me and had me laughing out loud! This series is excellent in audio if you like those.
