The stories that stay with me are usually the ones with psychological depth or characters that explore the uncomfortable parts of human nature. I enjoy analysing the emotions a story tries to evoke.
I use a 10-point scale (divided by two) onto the 5-star system; making my average rating naturally lower. Popularity and average ratings never influence my ratings. They reflect how much a book left an impact on me and perhaps even influenced me. I rate honestly and won't hold back.
As a reviewer I always maintain a non-biased voice when reviewing and I don't take offence when someone has a different opinion than me. Different book taste doesn't mean for me that we can't be friends. Everyone is welcome, as long as they are nice.
