Cannibals, anthropophagites, zombies, vampires, and all other people eaters (including creatures that are NOT people, eating people) - they're all welcome here. Zombies might overwhelm the list (and I do love them!), but I'd also like to find some unique books to read, some choices off the beaten path.

Haha! I have read, like, 3 zombie books in my life. But it's true, 2 of those were really original.

Ha, really? Okay, there's Far and Presidio, so what's the third? Or maybe those don't count because they're short.I was accused of liking zombies too much by a friend recently. Can you believe?? No such thing!
Anna this is your list? I just noticed! Tats pretty cool ( ^◡^)っNOT people eating people? Only creatures? Then Exquisite Corpse shouldn't be here and tat goes for Alive too.
I added two :)I want to clarify that In Dance with the Devil and also Dance in the Dark there are goblins. None will be a main character but will be in the story
They eat humans... Very nasty creatures O_O
And added also Warm Bodies
A zombie story
*duck and hide*
Sorry Anna :D I added a zombie. Lol. But it's a pleasant book! How could I don't add it? Lol. Very ewwwwwww brain eating scenes.... R eat human brain, and he do it for almost all book XD

Ohhhhh
No humans mean NO zombie because they were zombie?
I'm confused :(((
Anna! look what I morbidity I have dig up on the internet - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Begi...
And a whole list of Non-fictions on Cannibalism. Gosh! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category...
Read that wiki page on this book -
. Fascinating. Tats why I say Google is evil. Muahahahahaha...
Such a great list Anna! So much zom nom goodness! I'll add anything that I can think of, but it looks like you really have all the best ones here :-)
Sorry for the confusion. I reworded the description. The list is for all books about maneaters, whether the eater is human or not.And I adore zombies. Of course they're welcome. Warm Bodies is a great book! I just think there are more zombie books than cannibal books out there.

Kyn, I'm going to dig into that nonfiction list. Thank you!Cam, I'm adding your goblin book. Looks like fun. :)
Do you all like cannibal movies? These are some of my favorites:
Delicatessen - French, funny, and truly bizarre
Ravenous - Robert Carlyle gives me the creeps in this and the soundtrack is very weird and disturbing
28 Days Later - still not sure if they're eating people or just tearing them apart but I love it to pieces
Trouble Every Day - this one might be harder to find but it's the most interesting imo. People get infected by cannibalism and try to fight their urges.
Pontypool Changes Everything - the most original zombie movie I've seen. The disease spreads through language.
Also, A Carnivore's Inquiry is my favorite cannibal book. All the, um, dining happens off page but you just know she's eating people. She talks about her mother's madness and about cannibalism in history and in art. I actually learned a lot from this book.
Since you have reworded it, I now have two on my vote :DGlad you are fascinated with that list too.
I don't think I could watch zombie movies tho. :& Err.. thanks but no thanks at the moment :P

I loved that book :)
And no, unfortunately didn't saw any of those movies!
I've just finished reading Meat. It was super intense for me. Totally shitted in my pants. Yet I find it highly compelling and surprisingly meaningful. Unlike those mindless chomping on human flesh. This one actually carry weight. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT to fans of this sort of list here. :D
