I am from the small town of Richland Center, Wisconsin originally and due to boredom and separation from any adventurous world, I spent many of my early years with my imagination. I was usually at least a 30 minute drive from any of my childhood/adolescent friends and because so, I didn't spend everyday with them like other kids. With that, I took to falling in love with stories and from an early age started creating my own works. When I was only around 8 years old I recorded myself with our tape recorder, speaking stories into it. It's only gotten stronger through time and the stories have only gotten more grand. Throughout highschool I had high praise as a good poet and after graduating, started working on my first novel, Reaper.

Sometimes I would even go back to the beginning of the story and re-read to brainstorm/daydream about the direction I was wanting the story to go in the first place. If neither worked, I would start trying to think of a new exciting character or side story and begin writing it to possibly tie into the book later. (less)

I thought of m…moreIf you've got a story inside of you that you've been thinking of, and I think most people have at least one, just write the first page. I thought of my first book's plot for a year or two before someone told, just write it! Once I started writing, I crafted it for a few more years and now can proudly say I've written a novel. You would be surprised how much respect you get from people being able to say that. A lot of people are surprised when you tell them, so look forward to that! (less)
