Seth Gruner If you've got a story inside of you that you've been thinking of, and I think most people have at least one, just write the first page. I thought of my first book's plot for a year or two before someone told, just write it! Once I started writing, I crafted it for a few more years and now can proudly say I've written a novel. You would be surprised how much respect you get from people being able to say that. A lot of people are surprised when you tell them, so look forward to that!
Seth Gruner A good way I have found to get past a certain point, if I have a block, is to go back and read the last chapter I wrote to once again get the momentum of thoughts rolling. Sometimes I would even go back to the beginning of the story and re-read to brainstorm/daydream about the direction I was wanting the story to go in the first place. If neither worked, I would start trying to think of a new exciting character or side story and begin writing it to possibly tie into the book later.
