I'm tempted to google the mystery or troll through the other groups, but that doesn't seem fair. I can never really figure out any mysteries I read or watch - they can pretty much fool me all the time - or if I suspect someone & turn out to be right, I can never offer up the proof needed to prove I know. :)

The V characters are police chief Vince Capacasa & Minneapolis councilwoman Susan Victor.

There's other cards it qualifies for as well and I'll post them when the book is completed in case alternates are needed, as well as for the mini-challenge.

Just wanted to pipe in quick. I am halfway through a yellow book for the 7 card/V character we need (if Sisa hasn't already got this covered). Also it should be a MPG (thanks for asking what the letters stand for) mystery, I can double check later. And a murder has occurred in the book (multiple murders actually that happen in the past - does that qualify? - haven’t finished so I don’t know if any "present day" will happen!) as well as an alliteration- the title is Stalking Susan by Julie Kramer. I’m on the app so can’t post the cover or check the spreadsheet right now.
