I loved
What Alice Forgot &
The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty. I want to read more of her work.

LOL - books can do that to you Christina! I've had many a time of cry/sleeping scenarios, then just have to turn off the light. :)

@Sisa - thanks for checking my books for the reverse card! That's awesome - I vaguely remember the book, which is sad, since there are so many good messages in it.
@Christina - same on audiobooks. I can only listen in the car, some cleaning (but not organizing) or while I go for a walk/run since I can't be doing anything that distracts much from the book. I know some people who work while listening to a book - I never could do that.
I should be able to finish a book tomorrow - I made a lot of progress with my audiobook and it wasn't a long one. :)
Thomas wrote: "Wow, congrats to everyone who has finished a book so far. I need to get a move on with mine!"Same. I did finish a pre-UNO read, so feel better about what I'm reading actually contributing. Hopefully I finish two books by next Sunday.

Awesome that 2 members have started/finished books in one day. Hats off to you. I need to finish a book that I started pre-challenge, but I did start a new audio book today. Hope everyone is off to an awesome start! Happy February! :)

I'm so excited for this to start! I've been saving so many books! :)"We finally get to go tomorrow! So cited! (my personal slang)
Christina wrote: "Wohoo, I'm going to the library (and cinema) later and I will finally get myself a library card!!! (yes I'm doing it, Daniela :))"I love the library for getting all kinds of books and materials. I usually only buy used books - there's so many and CHEAP. I have huge stacks all over my house. Not sure when I'll ever get to them, likely not. But I still keep them (for now) take that Marie Kondo. :)
Thomas wrote: "Ok, I've decided another book I'm going to read is The Cuckoo's Calling as I've had it for ages.

Anyone read it?"Not yet - I will be reading it in December for my RL book club. Excited to finally get to it - I just finished the Harry Potter series and know she is a talented writer. Let us know what you think of it!

OK - I think I got it - but for audio books, does the narrator's names count for this challenge? I did not see this addressed anywhere. Does anyone know or can ask?
Daniela wrote: "@Colleen only us captains will be able to put something in the spreadsheet. so if we don't notice a possible reverse card, please let us know.
but we usually double check books, so if you've logge..."So - where do we track the books we've read and how it counts? Do we not do that on the February tracking sheet tab on the spreadsheet? I think that's what I did last year as it's all laid out and the captains then choose what book to place for what card on the "official" sheet. Would seem easier for you captains as well, but however you want to do?

but I HAVE to read it next month because one of my real-life book clubs is meeting on this in February (and I'm the host, so that would look really bad). Sorry.......

For the Reverse cards, if anyone sees a book filled out on the spreadsheet they have already read is it OK to just fill in this spot for the card?

My list is still laid out in message #63. I'm finishing up
The Age of Innocence (paperback) &
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (audio) - hopefully both by 1/31.
I'll be leaning towards starting
The Care and Feeding of Ravenously Hungry Girls (paperback) &
Every Note Played (audio).
Looking forward to the challenge and seeing what everyone else is reading!

replacing Chloe"Welcome!

I just finished a book -
Once Upon a River - and it was FABULOUS! I won't be able to start a book until tomorrow so I can simply digest. I'm finishing up
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as well.
I have a few books to get through that I know of:
(no color fit, but I know we have other book slots to fill so it may not matter if it's not red, blue, green or red if others have this covered - let me know, plus it's LONG so maybe I should just start it now and hopefully finish a week or so after challenge starts, knowing it won't count)
- blue
(yellow?)
- definitely yellow
- it's actually a blue cover, didn't find the link here
(color?)
- no color
(red)

Hi! I'm Colleen from Minnesota, USA and read pretty much anything. Now that I have a commute to work and try and go running when I can (my second half marathon in June!) I have upped my books read per year by quite a bit. I'm in 3 real-life book clubs so those books usually take precedence on my reading schedule. Actually heading to one tonight for
At the Water's Edge which I recall as pretty good, but I read it back in 2016 and honestly don't really remember it & had to look up a book summary & reread the ending chapters.
It's my second year playing UNO & I love it! So impressed by super readers - I hang in there best I can.
I love our group name as Nancy Drew was a favorite read back in elementary school where I could read a mystery of hers in a day.
My UNO shelf:
https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...Looking forward to playing with you all! I'll be sure to structure my reading to best finish books prior to 2/1 & start any new ones on 2/1 so I don't get too far behind as it can take me 1-2+ weeks to finish a book, but I read and listen to 2 books at once so that seems to help it all go quicker.

Happy Dance - it's UNO time!
