88432 WOW - and we won!

88432 And I must say this was one of the best groups I’ve been on. :)

88432 Am I the only one sad that it’s over and wishing we could go for four months? Seemed quick this year. Great job everyone!

88432 I'm not sure I can finish any more books. Possibly one but don't want to overpromise! Sounds like we'll make it anyhow.

88432 Honestly I'm open to whatever the team chooses for the recipe and tea party theme. I'll be sure not to finish anymore books until tomorrow. :)

88432 My library just opened for pick-ups only - we call in to schedule in advance for our curbside delivery. So happy. :)

Right above you, post 304"

Thanks!! I'll look through my lists and see what I have.

OK - I'll take Red 2 for The Lost Dogs Michael Vick's Dogs and Their Tale of Rescue and Redemption by Jim Gorant - hoping this works.

Love it - so creative!

88432 Can we get a list of the open color cards yet to read for April? Then I can get organized and pick my next audio book based on what's still needed. Thanks!

88432 I'll be finishing Every Last Lie for Yellow 8 by Sunday or Monday at the latest. Will probably be my last book of the month, or maybe hopefully I can breeze through a NF read that I have had out for a while. I haven't checked the SS/MC lately, but am assuming we are sitting good.

Be well, be safe, be kind!

88432 A couple other books about sports which I loved (but aren't short):

Beartown (hockey)
The Art of Fielding (baseball)
Seabiscuit: An American Legend (horse racing)

88432 I'm still working on my Yellow 8. Now that I'm working from home I need to find another way to get my audio book time in. This absolutely seems surreal and heartbreaking.

Like Denise, we are wondering about school, prom, if they'll be back in school by June (which I doubt and can only hope for September), etc.

And I'm trying hard not to worry about the economy and the loss in our investments. I'm hoping we don't have a huge death rate in my state either, but the ramifications are spilling over into all parts of the world. I sure feel bad for Italy.

88432 OK - assume the books we use can fit the hands, just not the categories for the mini challenge? Sounds like a good strategy to me.

88432 Hi Susan! You’re on a great team. :)
Mar 14, 2020 12:08PM

88432 For the mini so far This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger can cover #3, #9, #14, #17, #20 & #21.

And I think #4?

Every Last Lie by Mary Kubica would be #8 & #15 so far.

88432 The House Girl is unavailable from my library now which means I can't read for Green 6. I can take Yellow 8 instead with Every Last Lie. Sorry about that but the virus is messing everything up!
Mar 01, 2020 12:08PM

88432 OK - for sure I’ll do The House Girl. And maybe Every Last Lie if needed. Thanks for looking into it for me.

88432 Can I take 6 Green for The House Girl by Tara Conklin ? Does the color work/is enough - character Lina Sparrow.

Why You Eat What You Eat The Science Behind Our Relationship with Food by Rachel Herz - does this work for 3 Green? Author.

#3 option for 8 yellow is This Dark Road to Mercy by Wiley Cash with character. My audio version has an additional stripe of yellowish/orange at the top but is not in GR so not sure if it would count.

#4 option is Every Last Lie by Mary Kubica for 8 yellow - title

#5 option is The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead for 9 red - title but audio version doesn't have as big of a red square.

Last choice would be Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple if it works for 6 Green - author.

Let me know what you think would work best!

88432 I’ll look at what I have and see about any colors to fit.
