I was so into this concept, and written so well from a boy's point of view.

88432 Melinda - I also really appreciate you listing out some of the potential tie-ins with the mini read. I'm totally not creative and can't come up with stuff like that. :)

88432 So, it wound up being too cold to go up north and ice fish (-30-40 degrees below zero) so we nixed that idea. Don't want to risk things not working right in the Ice Castle and not being able to go outside. I managed to finish a book anyway.

The End Games The End Games by T. Michael Martin
2/6/21
2 stars - ideal for a teenage boy or other zombie story lovers - just not my style.

88432 So glad to start! This is always super fun. I just finished my 2 books I was reading before so am starting fresh tonight with a print book and an audio book for tomorrow. Phew! Hopefully I can finish at least one of them by the weekend - and if we go up north 5 hours to ice fish for a long weekend I'll get extra reading time in. :)

88432 I'll need to finish up my current print and audio book - then not sure if I should start another or not right away after because it will be before 2/1 but I can't go without a book for even a day. My heart says yes....but I'm sure I'll go over the deadline before I can then start a new one.

Agree Heather - I like to mix up my genres too.

I also double checked the rules considering non-fiction: we can only use title/author."

OK - good to know!

88432 The book covers are so intimidating - I would say The Lager Queen of Minnesota by J. Ryan Stradal is at least 50% blue - but the tineye only says 46.7% lol. I could use it for Blue 0 or 6. Is this close enough or no??

The only things you can use for each letter are spelled out in the rules. It does not include narrators."

LOL - maybe I am thinking of the Tower Teams challenge. :)

88432 Can we count narrators names for audio books?

88432 I went ahead and added my name to those Reverse cards that I have read in the past. Feel free to do the same for me when I add my books. Makes it much easier then looking at everyone's read lists!

Melinda/Heather - can you remind me about the non-fiction book rules? I seem to remember characters can only be the very main ones written about in the book - and not sure what else is particular about the non-fiction books.

And can we include the narrator's name on audio books?

88432 I'm here! Just got back from a long road trip with the family to look at colleges for my senior daughter. I'm in Minnesota, USA and looking forward to reading UNO with you all! It's my 4th year and super fun. I can't believe it's already here! :)

I have never seen Labyrinth and it doesn't even sound familiar lol.

88432 Way to kick off 2021 with some Uno! This is a great and well-run challenge that all can participate in and feel welcome. This is my fourth year, and certainly not my last. Thanks for keeping up this amazing tradition.

📕 Book you can't wait to read in 2021- The House in the Cerulean Sea, Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine and Diesel Heart: An Autobiography
📕 Your recommendation for book with the best yellow, red, blue, or green cover - Dear America Notes of an Undocumented Citizen by Jose Antonio Vargas The Paris Architect by Charles Belfoure The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
88432 This book was worth it. I can never guess thrillers like this and was surprised and couldn't really figure it out and all the psychology behind it. very interesting and well done I thought.
