I agree - I didn't think it was fair that the boyfriend totally got off and the blame got put on someone else. The mother should have found out all involved and should have dealt with it. I'm hoping it would have gotten cleared up in the future also.
88432 I couldn't get enough of this book. It was real and it was heartfelt. So many issues and so much to discuss in my RL book club. I totally need to read her other books. Heart, heart, heart.

I agree about the fire Emma. And I need a sequel.

88432 Anna - click the link above, then go to this thread, second one listed:

Tower Teams VI > All About Tower Teams VI

Scroll through then at the very bottom there is a google form to fill out. Sounds like quite a few who did the UNO challenge are also doing this one too. Hope to see you there!

88432 This has been super fun and I am for sure joining up to do again next year. It has been great to meet you all. Does anyone know if this group does a similar type game/challenge later this year?

I probably won't get to finish my two books I am reading by tomorrow to count so :(

88432 I finished The 100 Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared for the mini-challenge. Possible fits:

2. Read a book where the character enjoys their job - Amanda Einstein as governor of Bali
3. Read a book where there is a party - Allan was supposed to have his 100-year old birthday party before he escaped the old folks home
7. Read a book where there is a road trip - the friends/accomplices go on a road trip in Sweden to escape/hide
13. Read a book where a character is named Charlie, or Charles - Charles de Gaulle
18. Read a book where estranged siblings reconnect - Benny and his brother Bosse reconnect after an argument over their inheritance & Bosse gets paid back
19. Read a book where someone goes to a hairdresser - "the Beauty" Gunilla goes to get her hair done for Benny
23. Read a book where all the letters in YURI can be found in the title - all these letters are in the title
27. Read a book with Humor as the main page genre - it was humorous, but not sure what the standard is here
38. Read a book where the title starts with H - (Hundred)
47. Read a book with an Orange cover (read orange covered version)

According to the Wordcounters website it has 49,296 words, so seems it qualifies to count.

I also checked on the book I'm reading (and finishing!)
Vintage Cocktails: Retro Recipes for the Home Mixologist and it has 68,256 words so I should be good to count it also.

88432 Finished Killers of the Flower Moon - Kadi can you see if this counts toward red, if we even still need? I'm also trying to finish up what appears to be a yellow book Vintage Cocktails: Retro Recipes for the Home Mixologist but maybe the pale yellow background doesn't show up enough on the test website to count.

Good review Teresa - I'll be reading it for my RL book club in August. Sounds like the ending interpretation is up for debate??? Those can be frustrating at times.....!

88432 Kadi - have you looked in to the YA book The Hate U Give? This one looks good.

I don't understand the Starbucks CRAZE - personally, I think all the coffee shops are good - for drinks, ambiance, and reading space. :)
