This was a good novel, but I thought the execution lacked. Overall recommended but not the best IMHO. WW2 novels are fascinating overall though!
Hoping I can finish at least one more book before the end of the month. Looks like we have a few spots to fill yet.

Thanks for sharing Stephanie! I wish we were neighbors so we could read together on your porch swing. I'm glad you get so much time to read and your kids are so helpful and your husband understanding! I hope you get your bookshelf. ;)

Komal- how was Our Souls at Night? I think that is a RL book club read for me later this year.
Seeing as how I was in college 20 years ago I know I'm not the youngest here by far! Love to see how much you two are into reading! I fell out of it for a number of years, but so glad to be back in and I can thank a lot of it to people and GR!

Finished West with the Night -Matches Team Sculptor The Worm at the Core: On the Role of Death in Life & Venus A Man Called Ove books for the title printed in white letters.
Finished Everybody's Son - sooo good!Matches:
Mercury & Venus = red background on the cover (Ready Player One)
Triangulum = red background on the cover (Inkheart)
Sculptor = son in both titles (The Orphan Master's Son)
My two books I started after 2/14 as well and planned on finishing by 2/28 to count toward the mini challenge part 2.
I'm open to whatever - but to be clear, the whole team has to read the same books (with a few exceptions i. e. series & author) in order to count - for both parts 1 & 2? And within Feb. 14-28?

Do the characters also have to have a major role in the book to count their names? I counted Valencia for the V character in Catcher in the Rye which I just finished yesterday. She was not a major player, but she did appear in the book so asking if it counts or do the characters have to be "significant" and appear throughout?
I also added to Komal's entry as I've read The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

I finally finished my first book to count toward the challenge! (YAY!) I'm just happy that everything I read going forward is at least going to count now. I'm also almost done with a green & yellow book - looks more green to me:
