One of my favorite books of all time, Cassie. I love Dumas in general, but this is even my favorite of his.

8565 You have got to be the most creative challenge person ever, Tien. I am going to skip this one (at least for now) as I have too many things going and am pretty sure I would not beat Nellie's record.
8565 Hey all - Don't forget to post quotes from your Steampunk books during the month. Here is the link http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1.... I would love to see lots of quotes this month as this is a genre I am not very familiar with and I would love to get some ideas on what to put on my list.

Susan - Neverwhere is my favorite Neil Gaiman book so far. I hope you get to read it. It is really good, and I have often wished that he wrote a sequel to it.

And thanks for the definition. It is great!
8565 I have a really selfish reason for wanting quotes this month. Steampunk is a genre that I am not that familiar with at all, so I am really looking forward to the quotes that are left here. I am hoping that they will help me and others decided what to read and put on my list from this genre.
8565 There are so many on this shelf that I have been wanting to get to. The list could go on for ever, but I think I will go with one of the following:

The Well of Lost Plots by Jasper Fforde
His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik
OR
Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

We are just editing our posts as we go. I think Tien is setting up a link in Post #2 for everyone so that they can just click on their name and that will take them to the post that they are updating. That will make it easier to find your post back.

My book isn't that big, Kim, and I still am having a slow start. That is one of the things I like about this challenge. It is not timed, but based on how many books you have on your TBR. :)
8565 My only complaint so far is that all of the books that look interesting to me are 500+ pages, lol.

Mindy - sorry you didn't like the book you chose. Hope the next one is better. :)

8565 That is a cool way to do it, Tara.

That is the hardest thing, isn't it. Deciding which ones you just want to read and which ones you want to own. I used to think that I had to own everything that I was going to read, but I, too, have become a big library user over the last few years. For me it is more of an economical decision, especially since I have two boys in college.
8565 Also all - don't forget to post your quotes as you read the books. Here is the link to the quote thread.

8565 Man, I don't know what to read. I really want to read Queen Margot, or Marguerite de Valois or The Black Tulip by Alexandre Dumas, but they are both chunkers. I am still looking for a book that I think I can actually get to.
8565 The French culture is full of many things that take time and talent, art, fashion, food, etc. On the other hand, leaving a quote from your French book is easy. So take the easy road and copy a quote from page 46 (or any place in your book that you find a good quote) of your French book.
8565 You must be having quite a day,Tien, lol.

Unless, of course, you are like me and my Goodreads TBR IS the books I own. Of course, on the list they are both e-books and print copies.

My task will be to clear my print editions for reviews, which consists of the following:

Memoir of a Good Death
You Know Your Way Home
The Girl Who Swam to Atlantis
Shadow of the Flags
Bright and Distant Shores
The Doctor's Wife
The Last Victim

There may be one or two more sitting around, and I will add them to the list when I get a chance to check.

8565 Obviously I had to bow out. I haven't even gotten 25 pages in Cosette read yet. :( Too many other things taking up my time.

That is what I am going to do, Bea.
