Book Title:City of Ashes
Author: Cassandra Clare
Date Finished: 4/05/2012
Star Rating: ****
Review: While I cannot say that I enjoyed this book quite as much as the first book in the series, it was another hit for the author. It is the continuing story of Clary, Jace, Isabelle, Simon and Alex as they struggle to deal with growing up, feelings, and the threat both their world and ours. The author did a good job of continuing to develop the characters as well as setting us up for the next book.

Review: This book had everything that I like in it. It was historically based, had a lot of court intrigue, a wonderful leading characters, and a bit of both mystery and romance. With a little mythology thrown in. Couldn't be better.
This is the first book in a new historical mystery series called His Fair Assassin and I am anxiously awaiting the next book.
