You.ve got them Sam. And may I say....Thanks for taking science!

Originally, I was looking for name in title where names are of characters which we may come across in everyday life. However, it has appeared that I have left too wide a margin & too subjective interpretations of what they may be which don't seem to be a good move on my part.
The following is the final revision to the intent behind 'name in title' with (hopefully) finite and clear enough boundaries:
Given Name (of a main character*) in title (No subtitle / series name) starting with the letter… A-Z
*For the purpose of this game, Main Character will be 'defined' as follows:
1. a person (have a human form or to at least hold a human form for at least 50% of the book); AND
2. at least 90% of the book is on this character; OR
3. the book being told from his / her perspective (first person) for part of the book.
PS: Happy New Year, everybody! :)
As I read this, Calpurnia Tate, Thursday Next, Don Quixote, and Bittterblue would all fit. The only one that would not fit is Skippy Dies since Skippy is not the main character's given name.

Talia - I thought the Eragon book was much better than the movie.

I don't believe that you need to reserve them in advance. Did you also post this on the Report thread?

I was just going to suggest that, Dee. I will send her a PM today.

Duh, you are right, so it still fits. Sorry. I was totally confused. :(

OK

? My computer screen says your update post is 40. In fact, we do not yet have 46 posts in this thread. Need more coffee? or sleep?"
Lol, Bea. I copied and posted that from the Shelves Planning thread. Guess I forgot to change the post, lol.

I don't think that you are neurotic. I am actually in awe. I used to do that all of the time, but then I would make these beautiful plans only to not read any of the books, lol. I love planning challenges, but I am not very good at follow through.

You are right, Sue, she did. It's the "something that you would name your children" part that has me still on the fence. I did not know what Nicole Kidman's daughter's name was, so to me Thursday does not seem like a name that someone would use.. What I am really looking for is a bit more clarification so people don't read books and then find out they didn't qualify.

I love your posts. You always make me smile, lol. I can't wait to see what you come up with. :)

No worries, Karen. I wouldn't want to be called Karen2, either, I just wasn't sure what to use. I will change it to Karen Booklover. :)
