You are definitely making my evening. I laughed so hard, my husband kept asking me what was wrong.

Sorry to hear that, Corolie. But I went ahead and removed you.

I had just told her to ask in this thread as you are not really looking at the planning thread, and then you posted the answer there at exactly the same time, lol. I deleted my comment.

Did you see Amy's question about picture books in the Scripts Planning thread?

Exactly, Jane. And it is open, so I went ahead and reserved it for you. :)

Well, in the battle plan thread under Scripts Tower, it says no page limitations/editions. I would take that to mean that picture books count, but I would send this question to Tien for the final blessing. :)

If you know you are going to be reading a book that is on one of the shelves and that shelf is open, you can reserve that shelf here. That way no one else can "hit it" before you get your book read. Otherwise, you can read a book, and if it is on an open shelf, you go to the Shelves Tower(Reporting) thread at this link

http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

and tell Tien that you would like to aim at the shelf that the book is on and she will tell you whether it is a hit or miss.

Example: You are going to be reading a book that is on the shelf titled "drama". No one has yet claimed that shelf by either reading a book or reserving it, so you would leave a message here saying you wanted to reserve it.

Example 2: You just finished a book and find it is on the shelf named "kids". That shelf open, so you go to the reporting thread and check if it is also open there. If it is, you would post a message saying that you are aiming at the "kids" shelf, the title of the book, and date you finished reading it. Tien will let you know if it is a hit or miss, and update the Reporting list accordingly. I will then copy that information from her list to this one so that others know that shelf is no longer open for either reserving or reporting.

Does that help?

I would say it does, Dee, as he is the main character, but could you have picked a longer title, lol. BTW - it looks interesting. How was it?

I agree. 33 true hits. I originally had more, but I had missed three "missed shots". That is why I am trying not to update until you have posted here. Obviously, though, I am not doing it exactly correctly. We should be in sync now.

Don't apologize at all. No worries. It is a confusing game, especially with people reporting and me not being able to update the same time that Tien updates the reporting thread. Totally not your fault. AND thanks for the catch on the Kinsella one, lol. I am trying to do this while watching the football game. My bad. :)

8565 Jane wrote: "Okay, I see what happened. I explained myself poorly. I was asking for the first letter of the title of book category for C, (for confessions of a shopaholic), although K for Kinsella (for author..."

They are correct, Jane. It IS possible for someone to report a book that has not been reserved as long as no one has reserved it by the time that they report it. I have been updating once a day as I am trying to wait for Tien to update the report thread to make sure things mesh, thus it was not posted here yet. I will put you down for last name K for Sophie Kinsella.

I'm sorry if the posting once a day is making it hard for people, but I am not online all day long.

Just FYI - I did not realize that people could report without reserving until the first person did it, which was probably one of the first few books, lol. I was definitely confused. :P

Sorry, Jane. Someone hit C earlier. I am just updating now. But you could use that for Last Name K for Sophie Kinsella if you want.
