I just started it tonight, Petra, so as usual, you are ahead of me. :)

I finished tonight. Loved the ending and how it was all wrapped up. :)

I finished
tonight. I spent a lot of time reading this week - I have to pick up my Bee book next, but I still have a lovely pile of candy next to the bed. I re-read two of the Fever series by
Karen Marie Moning last week.

I got it from the library yesterday...one of the few I wasn't embarrassed to check out!

YAY! Jason, so glad to see you're going to pick it up too - at the rate I'm going you'll beat me. :P I'll go read now.

I went a little nuts at the library tonight and checked out around 3000 pages. :) Mostly candy, but I'm in the mood for the candy right now. Loretta - does it count as a chunkster when it's vampire porn? :P
found its way into my bag.

I have made some good progress on
Nicholas Nickleby this weekend and also started to re-read
Shadowfever. I spent HOURS reading this weekend! Was just thrilled to spend so much time with books. I'll spend some more tonight - I am enjoying my de-compress. :)

Sadly, I can't report on what I've been reading. That would be a big fat nothing. My job is taking over my life. :("I hear you Loretta - I don't know when I've had less time to read, but most of it was self-induced with the house. Hopefully that'll be remedied soon now that we've closed, but I have a stupid (also self-induced) achievement program thing at work which will have to be done from home too since I've slacked so much on it these past two months. I think the next book I read will be one of the professional development ones you all were so kind to recommend. I'm thinking
Who Moved My Cheese?. AFTER I finish
Nicholas Nickleby.

All done with my little yellow house. Tomorrow we close and pass it to the new family. Hard walk thru with the kids who wanted to say good bye. However, we made a list of 30 fun things we want to do this summer before the new house is ready. And we started writing secrets in the walls that are going up. Bittersweet evening.

Yay! Jason's back!!!! Missed you!

It's just the rambling about things that have nothing to do with anything, the absolute certainty of her ideas and superiority...but yet, not a bad person, good hearted, proud of her family...I don't know, it just struck me when i was reading how I kept visualizing Cheryl for Mrs. Nickleby.
I really, really like it. It's all I'm reading right now, but I'm at the tail end of moving out of this house, so haven't had nearly enough time to devote to it. This should be the last week though, so I expect to finish next week!

Lord forgive me but Mrs. Nickleby reminds me SO much of my mother in law...
TERRIBLE! :P

You're a lot more generous than I - of course Mr. Kenwig's statement that the children may as well just die was my primary impression.

Nicholas has become my primary book - I agree that Nicholas and Kate are utter saints. I'm driven a bit crazy by the way he writes John Browden's accent - I'd rather just read than have to try translate everything he says, but still am enjoying his character too.
What did you think of the reaction of his niece's family to the marriage of the bureaucrat to the actress? Seems drama may run on both sides.

Tara - that's a great link!!!! I love it! My plan was using 3 of the large, blonde shelves with two of the narrow dark ones with an every-other color idea. The flooring is going to be a dark wood/laminate, so I thought that the multi-tone would be pretty. It'd end up being a little over 10' wide on a 12' wall, so perfect! We found a table with built-in reading lamp at Lowes last night too after we designed our kitchen cabinetry. Finally getting to the fun stages here! :)
AND - my husband got a new position at work!!!! This is just a year full of blessings for my family!

I designed a "Billy Bookcase" wall that I'm in love with. :) Sweet! I will have to find a desk there as well, then the perfect chair and lamp...my library is already built in my head, I just have to finish finding the reality to match.
The foundation started today, so despite the rain they are under way. I also had a revelation about how to get the kids' bathroom positioned so that they will have a good sized room to share. :) I'm feeling really positive. My dream house is going to be a reality! I cannot believe we're going to do this - it's so exciting!
