That's awesome! :) I'm hoping my kids find they'll love the library in the new house. There is something so soothing to me about being surrounded by books too.

!"OOOO - I think I need to copy you!

It's Harry Potter's 32nd birthday today! :) What a geek I am. Oh well. I'm a happy geek.

I haven't read Danielle Steel since high school. My mom went through a phase where she really liked her books, but then I think she read some stinkers and gave her up again. There was one that was set on the Titanic that I remember really liking.

I finished
last night and it was fairly crappy. I felt compelled to finish it, hoping Janet would pull it off, but not so much.
I found
at the library, and think I need to start that one next.

Oh wow! My son would have been in pee his pants territory on that one. He loves those books and the movies. Lucky kids!

Yeah! Another "kindred spirit". LOVE Anne. Thanks for posting about you. Love this group not only for the book recs, but the safe place for me to vent without worries.

Thanks guys. It feels so awful to be this anxious about something that is so good. Cabinetry got sorted tonight, so I'm happy about that. The contractor said he'd cover the upgrade to cherry in our kitchen cabinetry, and he walked and measured out with the cabinet guy today, so it's going to get ordered Monday. :) It's exciting.
And - I get to see Max tomorrow!!!! Baby!

totally back to sleep deprived...ah well.
Did the electrical plan last night, will get my cabinetry ironed out tomorrow, have a good handle on light fixtures and the house is wrapped in Tyvek and shingled! The plumbers are putting in the tubs and other fun plumbing stuff this week, and it'll get wired next week. We are just over the halfway point in building. AND I'M NEVER DOING THIS AGAIN! :) But I'm sure it'll be worth it.

I finished
tonight and gave it 5 stars. Probably one of my favorites in the Dark Tower series.
I find I'm collecting library books. I have about a dozen next to the bed. Think I'll pick up a candy book next.

I finished this one last night - I didn't really have any expectations going in, I've never seen the movie and had only the vaguest of ideas about the plot. I thought it was really well-written, and thought provoking. The ending didn't surprise me, but I didn't like it.

Well I think we could all benefit from splitting the 1.3 million dollar/week profits. :)

Ok. So here is a thought. What if the Bees collaborate? Plot, characters, writing? We could do way better than 50 Shades.

Tasha, that's awesome! I look forward to buddy reading with my kids. I spend a lot of time reading to them this past school year, it's fun that they still enjoy it.

Thanks Petra - I'm glad it was chosen too, it was the only one of my noms I hadn't read before.
I'm about 85 pages in - I agree that the questionable narration is both intriguing and frustrating at times. I want to know what's accurate and what's delusion, but I suppose that's one of the great things about this novel - any part of it can be "real" or "pretend". After all, what is fiction? Real or pretend?
Petra wrote: "Yay! That would be great, Tasha!"I agree - and I hope I'll be more interesting than, "I liked this" when we're reading this winter. :P

Jason, I hope you enjoy it, too. I'll be following your posts with interest.
Great Expectations is a goo..."I want to read The Pickwick Papers - It's mentioned as one of Jo's favorites in Little Women, and I wanted to share that one. So...maybe this winter I'll read it too! I don't want to tackle anything too daunting now, I'm currently pathetic when it comes to concentration, and I know I still have to read my book for work. Blech...

I spent this weekend at my sister's place, and slept well for the first time since we moved out. I can't express how good it felt to get 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep. AMAZING! I have insomnia anyway, so typically wake up several times in the night, this has been increased a lot by the fact that I'm in a smaller bed with Mike at his folks' place, and I may be a little stressed. :)
However, great weekend, and Kasia totally loved being with Max. She is fabulous with him, and was such a helper for my sister. I was very proud! Max is a darling boy, getting so big already at 18 lbs and just under 5 months old. I enjoyed seeing him so much. :)

I finished
Nicholas Nickleby last week and
Love in a Nutshell today.
I really did enjoy Nicholas - it was my first Dickens, not sure which of his I'll pick up next but I'll for sure be reading more. I have several on the Kindle, so I'll choose another soon.
Love in a Nutshell was handed to me by a co-worker. Fluffy candy of a book, distracting but nothing I'd go out of my way to recommend.
Also started the audio of
Relentless for my road trip this weekend. I'm a little over half through, now it's figuring out how to find time to listen to the rest. :) May just return the CDs and pick up the book. It certainly made the drive fly by, but I think that next time I may have to pick up an abridged audio book by Dean Koontz - too much description going on, which I don't mind when I read, but was a bit long-winded in the audio.

Construction seems to be going well, we are close to half done. The sub contractors will work on plumbing and electrical next week but the frame and outer walls and roof rafters are all up.
Gabes doing great, Kasia not as well. She's having a hard time adjusting and isn't enjoying living at grandma and grandpas so much. I'm having a hard time being so unsettled but know it'll be worth it and good things are worth some stress.
