7638 I was disappointed in this one. It was OK. I really liked the ending, and the ideas of how the different characters can go forward. I think that I would like a third installment...the 2nd gets us through all the fallout and angst...maybe a third would have more fun and new adventures?

7638 Welcome! Stir crazy is right...I feel like we just keep repeating our days and weeks. Good thing that the books change!

7638 This is a constant struggle for me. I have a good amount of shelves...but never enough. And then I try to organize with shelves of books that I haven't read yet...and I keep getting more books. I did do a good job with a HPB run where I sold far more than I bought. But my BOTM really gets me in trouble with random stacks of books.

7638 OK - my challenge is for sure tricky! I'll have to search for a few of these.

1 - New to my TBR = Horror
It Will Just Be Us, by Jo Kaplan - COMPLETE

2 - Foil on Cover = YA

3 - Debut Novel = True Crime....I didn't have any!!!! So, in the spirit of the challenge and getting books OFF my TBR of already owned, I read Valentine by Elizabeth Wetmore - COMPLETE

4 - Favorite Author = Historical Fiction....and swap to True Crime - will read something soon!

5 - Series - Thriller - Extreme Prey by John Sandford - COMPLETE

So, I know I can do the Thriller as series, that's one of my faves. The Debut Novel as True Crime is not going to be anywhere on my bookshelves, I'm afraid!

And so, on 2/19/21, I made the swap so I could get a book that fit each genre. I've only got 2 to go!

I didn't finish in February...but 3 books off!

7638 I read Practical Magic first (as it was written first) since then she’s written a few prequels, and she goes back further in time with each one. I don’t think there is a right or wrong way to read them, I feel like her writing and storytelling get better with time, so you may notice that if you read them in historical order - Magic Lessons first.

7638 Audio books are the only way things get done at my house...and sometimes they even inspire me to take on a bigger project, because I only let myself listen if I'm doing something productive.

I want to nominate Magic Lessons (Practical Magic, #0.1) by Alice Hoffman which I loved and Ready Player Two (Ready Player One, #2) by Ernest Cline which I need to steal back from my son and read.

7638 Lisa, that sucks. I am so sorry you contacted the crud. This was a different holiday for everyone, and I will admit my Bee box was a shiny spot for me to look forward to as well. Thank you Tanya, for the books and goodies you sent. I’m excited for buddy reads galore in 2021

7638 Dear Santa...

I have been a rather lazy procrastinating lump this year. In better news...I've already beat my Goodreads Goal. :)

I have a kindle I love, and I am hoping for any of the following...

So...

Sh*tshow (A Vintage Short) by Richard Russo Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune

And I like surprises!

7638 I haven't gotten to that point, but I found that I enjoyed the narrator in Junkyard Cats by Faith Hunter but was not thrilled when she narrated Rampage. The narrator seemed too old to be Shay Remby to me.

7638 I'm listening to the Bobiverse books again because a new sequel has been published! I'm excited to listen to Heaven's River (Bobiverse #4) by Dennis E. Taylor .

7638 I've now read the 4th in the series...I'm a fan.

7638 I agree - he's one of my favorite too. He is a talent. And...he was an English teacher. That fact gives me a feeling of commeraderie.

7638 I started listening - Patchett narrates, which I really like for memoirs. A friend of mine knew Lucy, so she was interested to hear my thoughts.

I'm lucky to have had some amazing friendships - but this reads so much more like co-dependency than a friendship. However, with their histories, and Lucy's constant medical battles, how else do you live?

7638 I'm so glad you liked it! It looks like a good read for my current ADHD mood.

7638 I finished - and I know I need to read it again. It was really interesting, and I love her writing. I've had a distracting few weeks, so I couldn't enjoy it as much as I would have...I usually read her books in just a few days. I couldn't devour this one though. so, It was good...and I'm excited to re-read in the future.

7638 I was entertained - but this was one of those that I just didn't love anyone in it. And...the "betrayal" was kind of lame IMO. What are other people's thoughts?

7638 I have it on Audible, but haven't had the inspiration to start yet. I need to find a tedious project so I can work and listen.
