Our governor announced today that each district can make their own plan...which to me is a cop out answer. It means no decisions made are his fault. Our numbers are growing and are higher than when he closed us in the spring. So - now waiting to see what our district figures out, and then deciding if that is what we are doing or if I'm going to keep my kids home or go with the district...it just feels like we're throwing everything at a wall and hoping something sticks. But this disease is scary, and the long term effects on some of the survivors are miserable.
So, my reading life has expanded to The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Times, The Washington Post and any other science journal that someone I trust has linked to.

@ Margie - that was a good one! I liked
even more.

My husband's company cut hundreds of employees. Mike wasn't one of them, but this is the second time in his 6 years there that the bottom has dropped out, so he opted to drop to part time and is starting a business as an auto detailer. This will also give him more time for his art. I'm really lucky to be able to afford to have him part time. This also allows him to be available at a moment's notice to help his dad, who is in poor health.

Oh - this is totally in my wheelhouse. I may have to order it, because my book BFF would likely enjoy it too.

I started Mexican Gothic! So far it does have the Gothic feel. I have to say I didn't expect Britts in Mexico.

I love spooky books!
- Bag of Bones by Stephen King
&
The Dead House by Billy O'Callaghan
are two of my all time favorites!

Gotcha! Thanks for clarifying.

I chose
, and picked up a couple previous selections. I plan on adding The Shadows to my box next month.
I love the add-ons feature of BOTM. It certainly blows up my book list, but it's so good.

I'm in on this one - it sounds like the physical book is hard to get a hold of right now, so glad I have my kindle! I might also get this on Audible, as I sometimes struggle with reading non-fiction - my reading speed is very different between fiction and non-fiction.

I read this and two of the sequels - I found the characters entertaining and I wanted to learn more about their past and watch the dynamic between Stoker and Veronica.

I'm a Russo fan, I need to get my hands on this one.

I think this is in the middle of the pack for me as far as SK's books. (Which still means it's awesome.) This one gets very dark, Gaunt is one of the worst villains in King's books, in my opinion.

I really liked Bel Canto too...but then I tried The Magician's Assistant and couldn't quite get into it. I had no idea she had so many books though. I'll give this one a try.

I have never heard of this author - which with 50+ books, I feel like I've clearly missed something. Are the shows on Netflix?

Another BOTM choice, I have this one waiting for me to pick up. I wasn't wowed by Final Girls, but this book sounded interesting. Looking forward to hearing other's thoughts.

Tanya and I have been really meaning to read this one for awhile...I have it in my bedroom and have for months. Hopefully this is the push I needed to finally tackle it.

I'm super excited to pull this one off my shelf. I love Mary Doria Russell - she has a facebook group that she moderates and is very active in.
Today she posted an article another author read about this book, and I asked the source so I can link it here.

I read this a few years ago, and it was very enjoyable. I'm not sure if I still have it on my shelves - I should probably look. It's fun to re-visit good books.

I have it next to me - also a BOTM selection. The cover is beautiful.
