7638 Just played on the Ikea website. What fun! I will have to go for sure this summer.

7638 The closest IKEA is 5 hours away...but, I do go there each summer, we may have to hit it on our way home from the Cities this time.

7638 I'm planning my library in the new house. Any recommendations for bookshelves that will look good but not bankrupt me? I'm having a blast with the planning! Can't wait to see the finished product and unwind this winter. Funny to be excited for winter!

What a great book. I will have to pick up the sequel soon. Thank you guys. I know it's a good book, if it..."

I really liked that one - the sequel was a little uneven, but in places brilliant.

7638 Tara I'm sure I'd have loved your dramatic reading. Cheers!

7638 I really did enjoy it - I was recommending it again just this week.

7638 My friend ended up buying 2 and 3, so she's going to pass them along. So, I guess I'll have to see where it goes. I'm willing to finish the series if the books are handed to me.

Hmmm - he sounds like a real, flawed person. :) I see people every day who refuse to help themselves. It IS frustrating!

7638 I'm doing OK - my legs are very bruised and look awful, but don't feel so bad. That makes it hard NOT to over do, but I need to make sure they keep healing rather than re-swelling. I will be fine. :)

I'm THRILLED that ground is breaking. And things are going to be good this summer. I'm already dreaming of lazy afternoons in my in-laws back yard with my pile of books, lots of trips to the library, weekends at my sister's and at my parent's places...it'll be great. :) Lots is done around here already, I've taken Wednesday off and my mom is coming to help with packing so it'll be that much closer to done. Happy, happy, happy! (and a little sad to leave our house, but as we empty it, take our things off walls, etc it gets less and less ours and more a shell. Which is good. Another family gets to be happy here.)

7638 No Tara... It'll be about 4 months. Remember the in laws with boundary issues? I'm going to be living in their basement. We plan on lots of weekend trips this summer.

7638 Packing chaos ensues - our goal is to be out three weeks from today, which is 5 days before closing, then we can get the carpets shampooed etc and have it in good shape for the new owners.

Just to make life interesting I fell on Monday and messed up my legs pretty badly. So, moving is even more fun because I can't help with the lifting and carrying much.

BUT - they are breaking ground tomorrow, which is exciting! :)

7638 I finished The Scent of Rain and Lightning today and promptly passed it to a friend. Great read, another mystery that kept me guessing!

I'm plowing through The Scent of Rain and Lightning...it's very good!

7638 I just finished The Last Child by John Hart and I was VERY impressed. I chose The Scent of Rain and Lightning by Nancy Pickard because I wasn't really ready for The Last Child to end and this one looks like it may have something of the same feel.

7638 The Girlfriend's Guide was my favorite!
May 28, 2012 04:47PM

7638 I started The Last Child yesterday on our drive home from visiting my sister, and am about 1/3 done already. It is very good, I'm fairly sure this one will get passed on to my mom when I'm done, she'll love it.

7638 I finished The Glass Castle on our car ride today. I gave it 4 stars - it was very good. I don't typically enjoy memoir, but this one I really did get into. It was a fascinating story.

7638 I so rarely sit down to watch a movie that Mike will pretty much watch anything with me. :) He even watched Twilight movies with me!
May 24, 2012 07:54PM

7638 Tasha - I totally agree with you. Rosie was not featured as much as the novel really set her up to be, and elderly Jacob was WAY more a character in the novel than young Jacob.

I was thinking I really need to watch this movie with my husband this summer - have any of you seen it? What did you think?
