I'm working on
Ophelia which is pretty good, but making me want to brush up on my Hamlet. It's been too many years, so I have to check out how her story follows the play.
I also started
Shadow of Nightwhich certainly didn't start with a bang, but I'm plodding along, hoping it improves.

This one is now in production for a movie - according to IMDB, Jason Bateman, Tina Fey and Jane Fonda are a few of the actors who will be starring.

found this calculator fun! You can estimate what your library usage is worth. My usage puts me at around $3000/year. Where are you?

Yay!!! I agree Stacy! You should stick around. :). Which book are you going to listen to?

JEN!!!! That's the BEST! :) Love it.

I tried to start
last night, but the first few chapters are driving me crazy. I know several of you have read and really liked this one, does it get better or am I in the wrong mood?
We, the Drowned is on the Kindle sales rack for $2.51. Off to buy...

I read this one in a couple days. I am in the meh crowd. It kept me reading, and I wanted to know what happened, but I didn't really like any of the characters, found the story in a bad place between fantasy and reality so I didn't really feel like I knew where it meant to be. I gave it 3 stars because it is well-written, but it's not one that gave me the creeps or excited me too much.

I have a friend who was talking (complaining) about her daughter's imaginary friends. I told her to read this book. :)

I got my HD for Christmas. I really like it, but honestly I would rather have an iPad Mini. I don't care for the way the android system works, I'm so much a Mac girl that having the device being basically a tablet I keep comparing it's ease of use to the iPad/iPhone.
I like how easy it is to shop and download books, I like that it's got a lit screen so that I can grab it at 3 am when I can't sleep. It's just that if you want a tablet, I think the iPad is best.

VICTORY IS MINE!!!!
Yes, I did all of it Lisa, down to deregistering. The problem is that the Nook HD uses the Overdrive Media Console App for library usage. So all the instructions etc I was reviewing weren't for my device. Once I got that all hooked up, it's actually super easy.
Oh well, live and learn! Now I'll just have to re-download all my other books and set up my email and stuff again. :P

and it's edition 2.0 - downloaded today. It just doesn't recognize my nook.

Not sure of the edition, but my computer is a Mac, so it doesn't seem to be able to properly read the nook directories either. I have an old windows based netbook. Am I going to have to resort to that?

Help please!!!
I cannot get library books to load on my Nook. I've downloaded the Adobe Digital Editions, authorized both the computer I have the file on and the Nook, but the Nook won't show up in the ADE for me to transfer the book, and it won't drag and drop. Thoughts?

I'm interested in your take Deanne - he does do a lot of cross referencing between books, but I didn't notice much in this one. Love to hear your take, I DID devour it rather quickly!

I finished Crazy Rich Asians tonight. I gave it 4 stars, it was utter escapism, an essy, addicting read. I think it is a fun one to read with Girl in Translation. I find the Chinese culture so interesting, and it was amazing to see how little difference in family dynamic there is on the two opposite ends of the socioeconomic spectrum.

I THINK I just figured it out!!!!

EXACTLY! :) I want to know, but having company in missing it would be nice...

I found this article interesting...
