Hello! I'm back home after a delightful week away. I had a lovely time. While I enjoyed the time spent with my husband best of all, I had an amazing afternoon next to the Serenity Pool with books and a nice man who brought me Pina Coladas. :) I went to the Magic Kingdom by myself and felt that it wasn't so magical without my kiddos. Then yesterday I spent 7 hours by myself at Epcot, and found that a much better solo journey. :) I went on a couple rides, perused gift shops, dined and wined...excellent!

Yay Elizabeth!!!! Dishwashers are lovely. So happy for you. :)
Marly, I am in Orlando. I've had two days being a tourist with my husband and now his painting workshops start and I'm on my own until we leave Sunday. (Except for evenings..). Pool/book time!

Happy Mother's Day to all you Bees! I'm just finishing packing for our vacation. :) Lots of reading in the sun with my beverage of choice coming up!
First will be reading on the plane though...6 hours from now I'll be in the air!

I read Tell the Wolves I'm Home. Where'd You Go Bernadette is already on my Nook! :)
I'm going to only take one paper book and the rest will be on my Kindle and Nook.

Your mama is awesome!!!!

I leave for my Florida vacation on Sunday, and will have oodles of free time. Which books should I make sure I have? Any Bees near Orlando who would like to grab lunch one day next week? :)

I was given the Nook HD for Christmas - and I do love it. :) So, you MAY need one for Mother's Day.

I did really love this book. I think it dealt very realistically with some tough issues. I really never did forgive Lou's family though.

Also Stones from the River by Ursula Hegi - not directly holocaust, but ww2 Germany.

I don't know. I'm at 141 and still mad at them.

I just started and I want to choke Louisa's family. What assholes! (On page 28)

Me Before You."That's one of the books I will read when I'm done with this series. How are you liking it?

I've been utterly sucked into the Clare Ferguson/Russ VanAlstyne series by
Julia Spencer-Fleming. I'm on book 6, and have been having a hard time putting them down. I've only got 2 books left, so I should be able to move on to another book after I finish these last two books.

I'm so glad you and your crew enjoyed it. And maybe we should schedule the Bee Retreat over Coachella...I think that would get a few of us moving. :)

I'm sure it's utterly surreal - it's horrifying to know just how much chaos a few people filled with hate can cause. I'm so glad you are safe!

Did you make pickle dip?

I read
A Monster Calls and it was 4.5 - 5 stars for me. The illustrations were really amazing, and the story was well done, and utterly sad and moving.

I cannot tell you how popular that recipe makes me for any potluck event. :) And it's seriously easy and fairly cheap when compared to all the other recipes I used to create for potlucks!
