Triple agree with the Ginny not owning her anything. I mean she even knows that because that was the reason she didn't tell Ginny she broke off the engagement. But I think that at that moment she was so hurt that Ginny hadn't even asked, hadn't even occurred to her, that maybe Charlotte wanted to continue competing, or maybe she didn't acknowledge how Charlotte had helped her.

Yes, the confessing was good. I was a bit scared how everything will backfire on them, but it ended good.

Yes, I like the positivity the whole pageant is showing. To be honest I expected some mean girls and some disaster involving the pageant but it was marvelous.

After a couple of books not being enjoyable for me, this was a right hit. At first I was oh, one more chapter 😅 and well...we know how that ends with books you enjoy.

@Kira I don't think it's the host, that may be a bit of a no-no for the romance, but it's not as serious as if it was a judge.

I'm glad she's making friends with the other contestants, I like that for her. It also shows that they are humans too.

I finished day 2 chapters, and I'm really enjoying this.

Started it.
I love how she has her plans how to spend the time.. we know that won't happen.
Oh, I wasn't aware this is a a book with new adult characters, I thought the MC is 30-something. Noup, I just saw in ch4, they are 29. The 24 years was just how long Ginny was obsessed with beauty pageants.

I'm trying to think of this book as something not to take seriously. It's making fun of the pageants and making the contestants some superficial characters which annoys me.. but since I'm not getting the serious book vibe I'll be cool with it.
Oh-no 😂 the doctor had to suggest the twin swap.

I'm going to start chapter 4, but before that I have some theories:
1. Ginny is allergies were triggered by the tanning.
2. The staircase dude is one of the judges.

I made it 4 pages into the 4th chapter and I can't take it anymore. I'm going to bed. But I can say I'm definitely enjoying it more than the other books I'm "currently reading".

I'm still adjusting to work, helping out in the garden and then I get sleepy early, and after all that I'm just low on will to read. Today I have a day off, I do have some more things to do but hopefully will read the chapters. I have to check my copy to see how much it is.

I don't know if I'll be able to follow, but I have hopes that at least this book is interesting and will pull me at least just a little bit out of my slump.

I understand the pressure of "doing everything to get the college experience", but it's also starting to annoy me and it's only 1/4 of the book.

I was delusional that I could get to the half-way mark... I've read 29% so far. Nothing really to comment.
