you wrote that it has 121 pages which is too little to count for points. I checked the edition you read and it says 221 pages, so I assume it was a typo and that's what I updated it as in the mod sheet, just fix it in your completion post too.

Wait.. Xiala's mother is head of the Teek or something like that? Was I supposed to know that? Because I don't remember it. IF it was mentioned in book one I probably didn't see the importance in that.
I finished chapter 19, hopefully I'll read the rest today. If nothing else I'll have less to read by the end of the month. Thankfully I got back to enjoying the story so I'm glad for that. Also, would like some friendship between Iktan and Xiala.

Spring fling lasts till the end of this month and even though I'm not going to read anything, I STILL have that one BR to finish. I'm hoping to finish it today because I have a day off, but in case I don't tomorrow I work only the first shift so I'll have time after work.

I'm preeeeety sure Daya was not in book one.. Ramson looked her up in this book when he needed a ship to get to Bregon.. that's at least how I got it.
So the thoughts are... I enjoyed the writing because I liked the book even though in the first half of the book nothing happened, I mean I got bored but I still enjoyed it, you know? Now as for the story, at first it looked like a typical filler book, I mean it can still be that too, but it got more interesting when the betrayal happened. I was so shocked when Kais betrayed them, thankfully he got back to his senses (which was way to fast and easy to do)(also screw Seying, I'm moving my obsession to Kais). From that point on things were interesting and I liked that we FINALLY had things happening, however, I agree, it was rushed.
Morganya as the enemy... well it's a bit laughable when you think we hadn't seen her at all.. or maybe we did a bit in the beginning? I don't even remember. Either way, her page time is insignificant. On the other hand I like Sorcha as the enemy, that was more believable to me. That too needed more work, but I liked her as the enemy.
Yes, I want Ransom and Ana to get together.. however I'm not so torn about them not getting together yet. Dragging it out and having just a tad of romance between them works for me. AND I kinda like that they are separating their ways 😅 They are not being a typical YA romance where they change their goals for someone they met and fell for, they are going for the things that push them. Now that I mention that, I really like that they are their own persons willing to do things they had set as some kind of goals instead of changing their believes because they met a love interest.
Kais and Linn... Like, I don't care that much about Ransom and Ana, give me more Kais and Linn 😂 I really wanted more. Also, I don't know why, maybe the flying thing, but Linn reminds me of Vin from The Final Empire, which could be another reason I like her.
I know this BR has been a biiiiit out of control, but I liked reading with someone, and discussing it. If you guys are up for more chaotic and probably slow reading from me... would you like to read the third book together too?

Don't worry, I'm in the same boat. I was so proud for being behind only 2 days and boom 2nd job came.
It's so boring in my shift today so I'll try reading a bit now.

You are doing an amazing job! Bravo.
I'm liking the books I'm reading, but I don't have much time, or I'm bad at managing it 😅 I'm at least aiming to finish the two BRs I'm part of and that I'm very behind on (as you know). And I would like to read at least two of the GRs but.. will see.

Dammit, it's not him 😂 I don't know why I'm having an obsession with him.
Icewolf 😲 Whaaat? That's cool. We didn't have that in the first book, right?
Shamaira and Kais.
When you said there's going to be the torture of the MCs being separted for some time.. I thought it would be longer 😂 this is not much.
I moved the dates on the schedule to know how behind I am.. good news, now I'm behind only 2 days 🥳 Just finished chapter 21. I agree, nothing much has really happened, I guess that's what happens with 2nd books. If nothing else I still like the writing, it's easy and fun.

I read the sex scenes and although I don't mind them generally here... i honestly felt uncomfortable with it. it just doesn't fit in the story for me.
Yeah, I've noticed she likes "unique" names 😅

But when I think of the Lowen-Jeremy story... wow, what a mess! And it's a mess from the beginning, it was trying to be something more and 😂 I mostly laughed from the absurdity. First, her meeting him in the beginning of the book as a coincidence feels like everything BUT. If we had discovered that he stalked her I would've been more likely to believe it, after all he was the one that read her stuff and suggested her to continue Verity's books. Also, why was there a need to continue Verity's books? V didn't ask for that, so that makes me think Jeremy wanted the money.. and Lowen.
I agree that Lowen's whole sleepwalking and lock on the door was so exaggerated and made us think something sinister happened in her past..and then we have one case of her jumping of the railing. If she had hurt someone else I would've understood her paranoia, and her mother's fear from her but otherwise it's just an unpaved and poorly used road by the author.
One other thing that... irked me, was, of course, in the Lowen chapters..and that was how Verity ended up. We get her psycho side from the autobiography and how she's not just going to sit and do nothing, and Jeremy just... you know.. and even though she faked her illness for whatever reason be it, that happening didn't fit.
I may be interested to read something else by her just to see if her storytelling improves.

I haven't moved from the 7th chapter 🙈😅 I planned to read yesterday aaaaaand then I got hooked to a kdrama so...yeah, we know how that goes.

"He must be the love of her life" 😂😂
I agree on the third genders thing, I was very fascinated by it in the first book, wasn't expecting it and before that I'm pretty sure I didn't saw it anywhere.
