I'm sorry I'm failing at this buddy read, I was lacking free time to read read, since I can't get the audiobook.

Finally finished the first 3 chapters, and I although I don't have comments, I have to say that I like the vibe of the story, so far I don't know to pinpoint what exactly gives me that vibe but it's a good start.
Also, it's maybe because I picked up the book so many times, sometimes only to read a page or two, but I have no idea what all the names of the vampires, types or whatever are. Rishan, Hiaj. I know there are three vampire courts, but I don't know which is which and their characteristics, hopefully as I read I'll understand it.

Finished chapter 7.
I knew it.. the dude looking the picture and the one warning her were the same. He has the same power as Vincent, or is Asteris something else?

I'm also planning on reading it, however I'm participating in two buddy reads that I'm way behind on.

I just want to jump in to say that I started it, I got to read only 2 chapters, that's why I didn't comment anything. Sadly I didn't have time to read yesterday or today, hopefully tomorrow will be another story so that I could continue reading it.

Yeah, that works. I usually read more things at once too so no worries. Let's start it on the 1st and put it on two weeks, although if it's interesting I could finish it much faster than that. We'll figure it as we go.

Yeah, the number of days/pages is alright. As for the start.. whenever it works for you. I don't have reading plans, and I usually read more than one thing at the same time, so everything is alright with me.

Finally finished it yesterday and.... it's... I don't know, like you said no punch in the end.

I cried when The Thirteen died, and later when we have those moments when they ask Manon where they are or they just are not behind her like they used to be.. might be my hormones screwing with me but that was the most the book hit me.. otherwise no. For seven enormous books where the stakes were risen so high, the actual end was very anticlimactic.

SEPTEMBER nominations will be open from today, August 2nd, until August 20th. On August 21st a poll will be waiting for you with all the nominations that we gathered, the most voted book will be our SEPTEMBER Group Read.

PLEASE keep in mind that in 2025 we are nominating Mystery, Suspense/Thriller, and Science fiction books only. If the book you want to nominate doesn't fall into those three genres you can still nominate it in the buddy read thread later in the month when the thread is made.
