749599 MAY nominations will be open from today, March 31th, until April 20th. On April 21st a poll will be waiting for you with all the nominations that we gathered, the most voted book will be our MAY Group Read.

PLEASE keep in mind that in 2025 we are nominating Mystery, Suspense/Thriller, and Science fiction books only. If the book you want to nominate doesn't fall into those three genres you can still nominate it in the buddy read thread later in the month when the thread is made.

You can nominate as many books as you'd like. Just include the title/author or a link to the book by using the "add book/author" tool. If there is a nominated book that you'd like to read, simply state that you also vote for that book. Series can be nominated if we have already read the first book or you are nominating the first book. Please make sure we have not read the book you want to nominate. You can check on this thread to see what books we have read so far.

749599 Can someone tell me how many chapters there are in the new hunger games book?
Mar 28, 2025 04:30AM

749599 It's been a while since I picked up the book, but I just read a few chapters. I think the reason I'm not flying through it is because even thought it has some interesting things, it doesn't interest me that much.

Hi, that's a new release and this thread is more for books that have been out for a bit. However, there's going to be a Buddy read of the book, or eventually this book could be our April New Release read if it get's picked.

Yes, the Silver Flames was said it'll happen in April, and I'm counting it as a BR.
As for the days... yes, please the more the better 😅

749599 Anyone can nominate as many books as you'd like and look for a buddy! Any book that gets two nominations or more will have a buddy thread created for discussion during April. Please decide your start date and reading pace/reading goals in this thread. Once that has been decided, the mods will create a Buddy Read Discussion thread for that title. Reading the Buddy Read Guidelines is strongly recommended. There is no promise that you will have a buddy read for your nomination(s).

749599 If you haven't been reading a lot in English it can be a bit too much. I'm not native to English either but since I started expanding to reading in English, because the choices left in Serbian were not that great or things I didn't want to read, it got easier and now I'm more comfortable with English written things than Serbian ones.

I started it a few days ago but haven't gone past the Reyna chapter in Initiates. Now I'm gonna try and read a chapter or two.

Intitiates
Reyna
: This is an interesting test or whatever it is.. to see how they see each other. Also, Reyna's version of Parisa xD That's not what I expected, and I had no expectations.
Tristan: Poor Tristan, he took on Libby's role.
Callum: Well, well, well.. I enjoyed this chapter a lot. I like that we now know a little how Callum's magic works, taking emotions from others and then he has to feel them.
749599 I'm slowly making my way, in a day or two I'll finish the books.
There's more action in EoS which is good, I'm still annoyed with Aelin for some reason so I'm not that into the chapters where she is because she's a know it all best, but ok. ToD is still easy to read which I like.

I probably wouldn't have made a comment before finishing the books but I just got to the Valg Queen part and 🤯🤯 I'm shocked and regretting that I basically don't remember a thing about Maeve.

Hey.. yeah, we can start it tomorrow :D
The schedule may not be the best but we also probably won't follow it. It's around 25-30 pages a day...after the first part

If it's not a problem, yes please :D

749599 Brianna wrote: "The ETA for my copy to be delivered is March 8th so I can get chapters/page counts at that point?"

That would be great, thanks.

749599 @Juliane

Yes, I've been waiting for someone to tell me the chapters 😂
So it's Prologue (1-6), and then it's 1-62?

749599 Sarah-Vanessa wrote: "I‘ll try to hop onto the second book,, maybe end of the month, if I manage… My TBR is so long this month 🙈"

No worries. I'm gonna wait to read it with you... by the time we get to it I'll probably make the schedule too 😅
749599 I'm so in for April as I still haven't finished it.. that way I have time 😂
These past few days when I did read I read ToD because... I don't know, it's somehow easier, and probably because there were more chapters to read there than in EoS, but now I have to catch up with EoS because things started happening.
