749599 @Amber

Hey 😃
So that google sheet is for players, you need to input your own books for it to show in the sheet. The mods have their own sheet where we put in the information from the completion posts.
I hope this helped, if not let me know.
749599 Yeeees! Let's read the books. Since she gave it 5 stars I'm going to assume she will continue with the books. Now only the question left is when to start, and I guess we'll know that when she checks the thread and replies.

Also, are you going to read the novellas? The 1.5 novella is Warner's pov and it's taking place right after Shatter me when he's shot. It may not be of a big importance, but you get to know things about him.

749599 I'm almost half-way through the book and... all good positive that I can say is that I like the writing, it's flowing effortlessly. But other than that I feel indifference, and by the point where I'm at I think that things should've moved more than they did.

I also wait for her betrothed that she'll "have her whole life to be nice to" to break up the still not official engagement. I mean that has to be a step.

749599 Started this today, I'm on chapter 5 now so I don't have much to say. I love the Scottish narration in the audiobook. And Percy seems like an annoying character and I'm judging him based on one appearance.
749599 Before closing this thread and archiving it I want to say that it was really fun watching you discuss the book, I loved that all of you were that active.

Also *applause* for finishing the book 😂 from the comments that I read, and your ratings, it was not a good book. From the outside it looked like you were talking about more than one book with so many things happening.
749599 I'm here to bring good news 😄 yes, there's more of kenji and his awesomness.

@Lexie
🤣 Adam the stalker.. but 🤔 when you think a bit about it he could be a bit 😂😅 And yea, I'm not team Adam.. Warner is a psycho buuuut we like kinda psychotic guys in books 😅😅😅 But yes, in book 1 no one was wow.

It makes sense don't worry. That annoyed me too.. the logic 😂

Now that both of you finished the book (or close to finishing it because I can't see on my phone if Lexie finished it) are you planning on reading the next one? And soon? 😅 I started it and I think I'm somewhere around 20-ish % but would wait if you guys want to read it because I like discussing with buddies.
749599 I finished the novella, and then I started the next book 😅 And I'm already 13% in.

749599 Title: Shatter Me

Category and task: Pink Polo 5 - dystopian
Graphic Novel? no

749599 I didn't have time to update my thoughts yesterday so here I am.. and I have no idea what I wanted to say 😅 I think that I wanted to comment on Juliette and Adam's... relationship. I'm rolling my eyes just thinking of it, it's too fast for me. And with that being said.. the sex.. like you didn't have time to go to the usual teenager lusting or whatever experience, and you haven't seen a human in 3 years (was it 3?) nonetheless a boy but you all chill about it and sleeping with him. I don't know that just didn't sit right with me.

🤣 Obviously things are going to happen.. I mean the series originally had 3 books, but now has 6, at least I think it's 6, there must be something. We didn't see much of the world, or the regime and all the wrong things with it, and we also at the end got that powers are a thing. There are a lot of things that we need answers to, plus there will be more questions later 😂

Love Kenji.. and when he appeared I remembered I liked his character the first time I read it so it's great that that hasn't changed. Although, my rating will change from the previous one. I guess reading it in the original language it was written is much better than the translation.

I started the novella that's in Warner's pov, but hadn't had time to finish it 🤞🤞 I can do it today.

Are Lexie and you planning on continuing the series?
749599 Will do!
749599 No worries :D
I wasn't able to pick the book up for a few days, I wanted to finish other things I was reading.. but I managed to finish it today. It's too late now, but tomorrow I'll commend on the second part of the book.
749599 🤣 that timing.. I'm okay with the 1st.

749599 I'm in for moving the BR for next month.
May 24, 2022 02:42PM

749599 For a book that I thought I'll finish fast because it's short and has really short chapters it took me awfully long to finish, but I finally managed it. I struggled with it a bit for some reason, but wasn't surprised by it. Before this I read Oseman's Radio Silence and had similar feelings towards it as with this one.

The characters are very realistically written or maybe the writing style is real life sounding, I don't know how to explain what I mean, but I think who read it will get it. The situations are relatable even if you don't find yourself in the characters, which, again, is the feeling of realness this book gave.
Georgia's constant chase for the collage experience annoyed me at first, but I got used to it and it dropped later on in the book. I really like the relationships, and G's newly made friendship with Rooney.

It's a recommendable book, it has its charm as I'm sure the rest of Oseman's books have, however I'm finding that it isn't really my thing. Maybe I'll pick up another of her books sometime in the future, but I'm not in a rush or feel the need to do so.
749599 Yes, jooooin us 😃
I'm going to be behind on the reading too.. Hopefully I can at least start it tomorrow.

How do you guys feel about moving the date to later.. like 24th-25th?
749599 Chapters 13-29 😅 I really got carried away.
(view spoiler)
749599 Hey guys, I'll be joining you in this BR.

I read the first 3 books in the series a few years back, wasn't that much of a fan, BUT the books had something that made me turn the pages so I guess that's a plus.

I'm listening to the book while also reading it, and even though I know Juliette is a teenager and her voice is supposed to be young sounding I find it a little weird while listening to the narrator. I guess I haven't listened to many young narrators.

I like that it's set in some post apocalyptic world, I just hope we'll get out of the room she's locked in very soon.
Oh, the betrayal.. Although, when you think of it, it kinda makes sense.. I mean you don't see anyone for a year, and then boom they lock another person with you? it's suspicious.
-.- Gosh Warner...

Finished chapter 12, which is 25% for me, but I think I'll continue reading. I'm not as annoyed with the written and crossed things as I was before, Juliette's way of thinking about things is a bit too... trying to be too descriptive and poetic sounding, and I don't think people have thoughts like that, but that can be just me.
