I feel sorry for the muggle P.M. as he's clueless and out of the loop. It must be a burden to keep the secret that he knows wizards and withes and fantastical creatures exist(view spoiler)[

I do agree with you that there just wasn't enough time for it in the movie for Neville's family. If they did include it, they probably would have left out Lockhart's scene as well.

How is everyone else going with this book? Has anyone finished yet?

I'm up to chapter 19 and I'm still struggling. I am managing to only read 2-3 chapters a day before I have to stop. Every day I say, "Okay, I will finish it today". But nope.

I read Turtles All the Way Down this morning in one sitting, but I just can't with this book. I don't even know why.

I started and finished this book this morning. I didn't expect to get through it in one sitting but I did.

This was my first John Green novel and it and not sure yet how I feel about this book of Green.

The first page irked me. How could someone think and feel like that? By the second page I realised that something must be wrong with her and there was. I was thinking throughout the whole book, (view spoiler)[ why doesn't she just go and talk to a doctor or a microbiologist about Clostridium bacteria she was anxious about? And all the other bacteria? Even her biology teacher would be able to help her more than Wikipedia and the non-academic internet searches. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I know anxiety is a hard issue to deal with. I know Ava had it worse than me and I'm glad that her support system is strong and know how to help her deal with day to day life. I think Green addressed it well.
He definitely described anxiety well but I must admit, I did skip the parts where her thoughts spiraled out of control. I don't need my brain taking hints on how to increase my thought spirals. I think he would help those who don't have anxiety or who have not realised that they have anxiety, help them to understand what it is. (hide spoiler)]

I do agree with you all that spending that money once she got it was a bit strange. I would have tried to give it back to the guy or have saved it and used it to pay off school debts or buy an apartment.

This book always causes turmoil with me. I feel bad for Harry.
Harry has to deal with so much from the last book. (view spoiler)[Not being in the loop of the current goings of what is going on with Voldemort and the Order of the Pheonix; Being ignored by Dumbledore; Dealing with Sirius' moods; with Voldemort manipulating Harry's dreams and moods; puberty; Umbridge etc... (hide spoiler)].
I actually think it's my least favourite just because I struggle to read it due to all of Harry's misery, it's quite long and quite a lot was left out in the movies (view spoiler)[Like Neville and the hospital (hide spoiler)]

There's of course positives in the book like the forming of the D.A., and the twins spectacular way of leaving the school. That's probably one of my favourite moments in the series.
Hopefully I'll be finished in two days.

That's a really good point. I never thought about what other see/hear when faced with Dementors.
It's the same with their patronuses. I've always wondered what everyone's would be.

Up to this now. I'm listening to the Audiobook by Stephen Fry. 29 hours and 39 minutes! This will be my longest audiobook so far.

But I might read some of it at some point.
