35559 Amanda - it’s alright. Karisma wasn’t able to add her books either

Nicole- you have to finish! I finished the last book last night. The second half is when things start to make sense. You can do it!
Is it your first time reading it?
35559 I'm up to chapter 27 now.

I would love to read the Life and Lies of Dumbledore!

Dudley, Hedwig, Mad-Eye, Dobby, Ted Tonks... always hard to read without tears.

Devann - I remember the book being leaked online but thinking, 'no way... can't be true!'
But the satisfying feeling of having the hardcover in my hands was way better than the online leak.

I've enjoyed it so far... as much as that's possible. I still make connections between what happens in the movies and in the books.

Stephen Fry does a good job in the audiobook.

I always like how she somehow added the Deathly Hallows into the plot and the trio's slow discovery of them.

They are all about to go (view spoiler). 6hrs left in the audiobook.
35559 I'm not sure that I can read this soon! I'll let you know if I can join in. I have quite a few books to catch up on for buddy reads and I'm back at university. D:

35559 Welcome May and Annie!

You can add your books read to one or both of the places that I've linked below
Books Read Discussion Page (Post the books you've read here)
Our Planning Spreadsheet (You can also add your books here)

We have nearly completed the spells and classes. Quidditch has finished. And so we're waiting for the Triwizard tournament to begin! Fingers crossed for soon!

Participating in a buddy read or a book of the month will give you extra points. Look for them in our planning spreadsheet in the relevant tabs

Feel free to message myself or Halli with any questions.

Happy Reading!!

I added it into classes in transfiguration. We have now completed transfiguration. Huzzah!

Jodie, what I have done is think about what genre I really like reading and choose a book that I've wanted to read for a while or a re-read. Talia and Teri have given great advice as well

35559 ATTENTION

The captains received a message from the moderators yesterday...
Please make sure your official spreadsheets are up to date on Sunday (midnight UK time) so we can have accurate information for our analysis.

I know most of you have been updating your books regularly. For those who haven't, please do so during this weekend.

35559 Okay Teri - I've added in Opal and Thunderhead to the B.R. tab.

Well done Karishma! Please do make sure you update your books into the 'add your books here' tab.
35559 I've started this book tonight and it's a re-re-(re?)-read. I'm listening to Stephen Fry's audiobook.

Man. I know I'm going to struggle with the second half of this book. This will weigh heavy on my heart.

I actually like the articles about Dumbledore. We never really got to know him completely and I feel like we can through the articles.

(Team Tonks)
35559 Finished! I did always enjoy this book. Except for the scene in the bathroom with Malfoy and Harry. I had to skip that bit as I just can't bear it.

I love how the gang have matured in this book.

I'm glad Harry and Dumbledore had their private lessons in this book before the event at the end of the book. I always enjoy seeing how Harry and Dumbledore are in the books.

Off to the last book now!
35559 I can understand (but don't agree with) Akos' behaviour considering how difficult it is would be to have an oracle for a mother. I think he's upset that Sifa didn't tell Akos about their family being attacked by the Shotet to be the hardest thing to deal with. I feel like she's a bit shifty and not really there for Akos after he gets out of Shotet (first book). But, maybe it's just Akos' way of viewing his mother that was distorted after being in Shotet for so long.
And Eijeh is now a complicated man. Half Eijeh and half Ryzek... I wouldn't say that Eijeh is 100% my brother. But it would be so tiring to have another person in my mind and being an oracle, and have to distinguish between all voices.
Cisi I think he's on the best terms with, so no issues there.

And then the fates being revealed, knowing what they found out... I thought he'd come to grips with his family and Cyra's family eventually.

I did finish the book this today! I don't this this book ended strongly. It was not very gripping for me. Some parts of the book I liked - Cyra and her currentshadows, Akos and his flowers.

I did not like Isae at all. Cisi was just meh. I agree with what you've said about the characters, Tahmina. This book definitely could have been better. I am let down by this book as I did enjoy the first one.
35559 I'm up to Part 2, chapter 12 and I'm liking this book so far... quite a lot!

I'm so far behind on buddy reads so sorry for the delay to all!

I quite like the Thunderhead's entries. They're quite useful and informative. I was reading this at work today so I might have not noticed some important things in the entries.

I was surprised to hear about how Rowan is leading his life style now but I do understand why he is like that.

I'm intrigued by Greyson as well. Why is he special? Curious.

Citra seems like she hasn't changed from the last book. I was surprised by the way she gleans. But it makes sense as there are many ways to die. I know I'd like a month to get myself together and prepare to die in my own way. But, if this was actually happening I don't know what I'd choose.

And I hope we get to know what happened to Scythe Faraday...

35559 I'm not sure if anyone has noticed but there is discussion in the Leaky Cauldron about the Tri-Wizard Tournament and possibly extending this challenge a bit longer.

Nothing official yet.

Eunice - Thank you for replying to my message. Please check in at least once a week and let us know how you are going.

Talia - Looking good! Good luck with it all. Hopefully someone from our team will be discussion leader in I Hunt Killers.

Brooklyn - Thanks for the heads up!

Talia - All added! There is a discussion page for the second book in the Arc of a Scythe series that started a few days ago. You can join in if you'd like

would either of these be helpful anywhere?
Savage Sourdough (Cozy Corgi Mysteries #4) by Mildred Abbott or The Watchmaker's Daughter (Glass and Steele, #1) by C.J. Archer"

The Savage Sourdough would be the most helpful!

35559 Great! Thanks everyone!!
35559 I finally started this one tonight. I've had many buddy reads to get through. I'm up to chapter three and I like it so far. The plot has gotton underway quickly and I'm intrigued. I also admire Agatha Christie's ability to write so many books and keep them interesting and well written.

I read Sad Cyprus when I was in year 10 - 8 years ago and really enjoyed it! I loved Poirot.

Mrs. Oliver - I think she's great. I like seeing how her mind works when she was talking to Poirot

I think this will be a quick read for me

35559 Talia wrote: "You can bump me from Astrology and use Karishma’s book as I didn’t get to read Defy the Stars this week like I wanted to. I did finish some that I’ll post this weekend."

Okay. I've taken yours out Talia and put Karishma's Bayou Moon in.

We've completed Astronomy now.

So, we still have Arithmancy, Charms, DADA and Transfiguration to go.

I'm going to focus on buddy reads and book of the months for the next week or two. Then read my charm book.
