Fair enough. I do agree though! It wasn't smooth for us. I had fun while it lasted :P
I'll most likely see you in another challenge some day or another

I'm going to bow out as well

35559 We need to get more players if we're still staying as a team. Otherwise we can separate and join new teams if we want to keep playing

35559 THANKS KAREN!! As an Aussie, I loved the summer challenge. Would definitely do it again
35559 DQ Day 5

17. Do you think Josh’s actions toward Lara Jean stemmed purely from the letter? Or was it maybe a combination of the letter and his breakup with Margot?

I think it was the letter. So he used that excuse to not be as lonely.

18. Lara Jean’s character has gone through some growth throughout this story. How do you think it will affect her relationships going forward?

It seems like she's on better terms with everyone and they'll be fine. With Peter, I don't know.

19. Were you surprised to learn who mailed the letters? What do you think of Lara Jean’s reaction to finding out the truth?

Ahh no. I read ahead before. I do it so I can keep reading the book if it hasn't gripped my attention much or too much. This case it was not enough

20. Do you think Peter and Lara Jean have a chance? What about Genevieve’s connection to Peter and her hatred for Lara Jean? Do you think that will cause trouble going forward if they try again?

Yep I do. I think Genevieve needs to get over it. It's been years. She might cause trouble but I don' think so. I think they'll move on.

21. Did you like the way the book ended? Was the story captivating enough to motivate you to read the next book?

Yeah I do. I want to know what was in the last letter though. I don't think so. I'd only read it for a challenge. I only gave this book a chance because I saw it on Netflix and it was apart of the Summer Reading challenge in this group! I did read the blurb for the next two books. They didn't intrigue me much
35559 DQ Day 4

13. There is finally movement on the Genevieve front. What do you think of Peter blowing Lara Jean off because Genevieve needed him?

Not coo. He shouldn't have but they do have history. He probably should have check with Lara Jean first

14. The Halloween Harry Potter costume coincidence was interesting. Do you think Lara Jean is correct, and it was actually a coincidence? Or is Peter right that Josh did it on purpose?

Did Josh know that she would go as Cho? I can't remember that detail in the book. If so, then it was deliberate

15. I love the way the Coveys include others in their Christmas traditions with Peter helping with choosing cookies and Josh helping set up the tree. It makes for a lot of tension for Lara Jean this year. What do you think about the interactions between Peter and Josh as well as Josh and Lara Jean?

Haha too much testosterone with the boys... Josh and Lara Jean, she just doesn't want to deal with the issues between them making it awkward.

16. I liked that Peter convinced Lara Jean to stretch her boundaries and give the ski trip a try. I'm a bit surprised that he still wants her to go when she is ready to break up their fake relationship. What do you think is motivating him?

I like that too and I was surprised as well. I think it was good of him. He just wanted to spend more time with Lara Jean as he probably got to liker her company

35559 Vicki wrote: "Are we (is anyone) still doing this challenge?"

I think you, Ashleigh and myself are interested in continuing.
I'm not sure about anyone else. We've got 3 more stops to go until we've finished this.
We can pick up hitchhikers?
35559 Day 3 DQs

9. Lara Jean is spending a lot more time with Peter so we're getting to know him bit better. I really like him and it was interesting to get a different perspective on Josh. What do you think of Peter and do you believe his reasons for going along with the fake relationship? His dislike of Josh and the fact he hangs out with Lara Jean when there's no one around to see them might suggest he likes her more than he's letting on.

Peter has some issues he needs to sort out clearly. I think fake relationships aren't great or honest but eh. I think he's hiding from his feeling for/about Gen. I don't understand the wariness because Josh and Peter. I think they're picking on little issues about the other guy. Yeah I think he likes her

10. What effect do you think hanging out with Peter is having on Lara Jean? I really like how she's starting to come out of herself a bit and is hanging out with his friends and a bigger group. I'm also finding it rather interesting how much she seems to want her dad to like Peter and she wants to impress his family. It does make you wonder why she cares so much about this "fake" relationship. Why do you think she's keeping it a secret from Margot?

I like seeing her develop as well. I think she's trying to do what Margot does, deal with her life's problems on her own. I think she thinks that Margot will disapprove and tell her off for faking it etc.

11. It's suspiciously quiet on the Genevieve front. Do you think she's planning something? Any ideas?
Yes I think she is scheming. And no, no ideas! Something embarrassing

12. Is anyone else finding some of Lara Jean's behaviour a bit odd and kind of nasty? She seems to take pleasure in hurting Peter's feelings, why do you think this is? Also what's with the crazy lies? Telling Josh she had a twin who died, telling Kitty she was adopted.
Good and bad but normal I think.
35559 DQs Day 2

5. Lara Jean seems to believe that the letters have been sent accidentally by somebody from Goodwill. Do you think so too? Or did somebody else sent the letters on purpose? Kitty maybe (I think she is certainly capable of doing that )?

No because I read ahead. Oops. I know who did it. Did her dad actually say that he checked Goodwill for the hatbox?

6. The plot where two persons pretend to be a couple is very popular in books and movies. Do you think Peter and Lara Jean will fall in love as is usual for this plot? Or is Lara Jean's crush on Josh too strong?

Yeeeep. They sure will.

7. Lara Jean and Peter have written a contract. Do you think it will play a role in the plot, e.g. if somebody else gets it and makes it public that they only pretended to be a couple? Do you think Lara Jean should have learned from the situation with letters?

Hmmm no. I think it won't be mentioned much

8. Lara Jean's dad is very nice and caring and I think it is great that he cooks Korean food for his daughters. But I also think that he had let Margot to take too much responsibility for the family and household. What do you think?

Of course he did. But being a OBGYN doctor is time consuming. He would be busy but still, he could have done more.
35559 DQs Day 1

1. I like the portrayal of the different relationships between the three sisters, though I don't recognise my relationship with my siblings in it! What do you think of the sibling dynamics? Do you think Lara Jean & Kitty's relationship will change now Margot's gone?

I don't recognise my relationship with my siblings either! I'm curios to read more about them. Yes I think they will get closer as sisters.

2. Josh.... the paragon that is Josh right now, with all three sisters crushing on him. Do you buy into him as the perfect boy? How messy is the Margot-rebound going to be?!

I do think he's a good person but with flaws. I'm not sure what the flaws will be though. I think we need to hear more about him.

3. Lara Jean - I'm in two minds about Lara Jean... I am enjoying her narrative voice, but also finding aspects of her to be WAY annoying. The driving incompetence, for instance. Really? Is it possible to get lost on the way to your local shopping centre? In America, with even straighter roads than the Romans made? And who addresses the envelopes of break up letters?!

Honestly I haven't been to America so I don't know. I couldn't picture the roads she was driving on so I have no idea.
I understand writing their name on it, but their address!! That's just weird and I don't believe anyone would actually do that if they had no intention of posting the letters. But eh. It's a book.

4. To be fair... who writes break up letters to people you've never even dated?! That said, I loved the snark of the letter to Peter K, and his reaction to it - focusing on the details not the general weirdness. So - what's your reaction to the book so far?

I put this book off for so long. I do this thing were I see a hype about a book and instead of joining in, I go the opposite way and don't read or watch the book/TV series/movie. I'm trying to change my mind about this though! Clearly it's gone from a book to an on-screen adaption because people like it and therefore should be good. With some exceptions though *cough* 50 Shades *cough*
