16. Do you think Amy should have helped Maude escape from the lab? What could she have done instead?
17. What do you think of Dorothy now with what she had done to Jelilla at the ball and with the mouse? I thought she wanted Jellila to eat the mouse, ew.
18. What are your thoughts about Amy's attempts with killing Dorothy?
19. What are your final thoughts about the book? Would you read the next one?

11. What are your thoughts on the battle? How did Nox and Amy handle themselves? What did you think of Gert's sacrifice? The arrival and timing of Mombi and her reaction to the news of Gert?
12. I found it unexpected that Mombi brought in someone from the castle. What do you think of Mombi's plan in regards to good and wicked? How far do you think Amy can go in the disguise? Do you think she becomes Amy well enough to keep the disguise a secret?
13. The Tinman, Scarecrow and Lion have been introduced to us now. Do you like this book's interpretation of the three or not? I found them to creep me out to be honest. Especial the scarecrow *shudders*.
14. How do you think Pete comes into this book? What's he doing? What does he wants and who does he work for? Do you have any other thoughts about Pete?
15. I haven't made any guesses as to what Princess Ozma's role is in this book and what it is to be in the future books. What are your guesses/thoughts?

Same here! My partner celebrated Easter this week and I celebrate next week as that is when Greek Easter is on.
I thought it would be busy here too. But I think the adult books are more busy than y.a. in this group

Honeslty, I don't know as I'm not a huge fan of The Wizard of Oz. I've only watched the movie. I was never really sucked into it. Maybe the book is better, idk.
I don't know much about the author.

It's kinda hard considering it's Easter. There's a lot of events on that takes up my time

6. 'Just put one foot in front of the other' is a phrase that has been constantly reoccurring since the beginning of the book. As we learn, this is how Amy gets through every day. What do you think of such a philosophy? Do you have similar views?
I think it's a good saying. I should write it up prettily on paper and stick it on my wall as I tend to put one foot in front of the other and then jump or leap until I'm told to walk again! haha
7. If you could get a makeover done by Glamora, what would you choose to look like?
I'd want to see how my hair looked in different colours and probably shift a few marks on my face to the side or something. But I'm cool with my baby face
8. As Amy discovers a whole palette of Dorothy's crimes, she slowly becomes frightened of her connection, similarity to Dorothy. Do you think Amy is potentially on her path to becoming the second Dorothy or do you have doubts?
Oh, no. I don't think so. Like, she could if she had no guidance from others but they need her to fight so they'll do whatever they can to prevent her becoming like Dorothy.
9. Regarding the romantic parts of the book, Amy and Nox are again and again being set up together somehow by Glamora. Do you think it will come to a full blown relationship or not? If yes/no, why? Do you feel any chemistry between the two?
Ahhh y.a. love. Yes I think they will. But I'm wondering what's happening with her and Pete.
10. Towards the ending of our 2nd section, it is announced that Amy will be battling Lion alongside Gert and other wicked witches. Do you believe she is ready to face him and fight, or should she be staying behind and learning more before she is thrown on the battlefield?
No, I don't. I was actually surprised when they announced this. They should have taken the two girls that randomly came into the book for a few chapters. Dorothy and the other witches aren't enough.

1. Do you feel the author, Danielle Paige, drew you into the story quickly or was the book difficult to get into?
I was drawn in rather quickly. I found that interesting because I'm actually not a huge fan of the movie.
2. Do you feel Amy's mother will be redeemed by the end of the story?
No, I don't. I think Amy has a lot of anger towards her mother which is explained in the book. I understand the anger though. She'll need a different insight/perspective of her mother to change how she feels.
3. Do you have early favorites among the characters?
No... no favourites.
4. Are you troubled that some beloved characters that you grew up loving in the Wizard of Oz are so wicked now? Do you believe they will all remain so?
Honestly no! :P Toto was probably my favourite if I had to have one
5. What are your impressions on the blurred lines between good and wicked? Is there a relationship in those blurred lines with Amy's world back in Kansas?
It didn't bother me. Like, we all have good and 'wicked' in us in our world and therefor Amy's world in Kansas. I feel like that's what's happening to Oz.
