Thanks Suzanne! Hopefully I can
I finished two books:
by Graeme Simsion 25/11/18Letters: R and D
and I finished
by Mackenzi Lee BUT I am hoping that someone who has read it can tell me if reindeer in somewhere in the book. I don't think there is ):
Does it still count if I post my answers to DQ for The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein? I've been reading it slowly and couldn't keep up with the set datesWould the points still count if I finished before the end of this month?

There isn't one for Oogie Boogie
FYI - Apparently only Julie has not read a book for stop 4. I don't think we've heard from her this monthWhen do you guys want to move on from stop 5?
Slytherpuff wrote: "Russian Fairy Tales. Where am I supposed to post it? Hope this works because I didn't read the entire book because I found one of the stories online."You post it in the spreadsheet. If you're not sure if it counts, you can ask in the Airport lounge but I'm not sure how often it is monitored.
If you can find that story on its own on Goodreads, I'd say it could count
Ashleigh wrote: "Sorry everyone. I apologise for not getting on here sooner. I missed the Russian stop and I apologise again. I have been in and out of hospital with some severe morning sickness. So nothing life ..."
Congrats Ashleigh! I hope you are feeling much better now!
I just watched Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelward. Has anyone seen it? I'm not okayWill anyone go and see it?
The end. Omg the end D:<
Fair points Samantha and sounds good Diane. I've updated those details on the spreadsheet.I do appreciate your understanding.
Adding on, we can move on now anyway. We don't need all of us to have read a book for this stop or even 6 people. If we want extra points, then we need 6 people to have read for this stop. For a detour, it's minimum of 4 people to have read for a stop.
I understand both your points Diane and Samantha. So, we all completed stop 1 and 2.
Stop 3, Slytherpuff and Ashley did not complete their books. Everyone else did
Stop 4, Slytherpuff, Julie, Ashleigh and myself have not completed the book required for the stop.
I tried to find a book set in Russia or written by a Russian author, and I have not been able to. I knew that I would struggle with this choice for this stop. I've been scouring my books for Russia when I've looked for books for other challenges, and I haven't had luck. I can only get free eBooks. If you can wait until this Sunday, I might be able to read a book with a shorter page count.
To Diane, Vicki and Samantha, considering you've read for all stops, I believe you three can call that shots as to who stays and who goes. And when you three want to start for stop 5. If you do drop players, you may need to pick up hitch hikers.
This is the rule for this challenge about players being left behind:
If you don't contribute to the team (by discussion or reading books - i.e. you are MIA) for 7 or more days, the team can leave you at the stop and pick up a hitch-hiker at their next stop (i.e. a new member) or continue with one less member.
BUT... I'll understand your decision about this.
P.S. I don't mean any harm with what I've written!

It might still be a bit early, but is there any need to read for a specific letter yet? Or is it too early to tell?

Fair enough, Chava. I think it's more of a children's book than a young adult one as it's been described as. Probably is another reason why I struggled. I hope the next two are better... the ratings on GR are a bit higher
Chava wrote: "Tina wrote: "Finished

It wasn't too bad. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a great job. I started the book having only some idea about the plot, like I had watched the movie trailor ages ago when it had come out. The start to about 60% I was intrigued by the plot, but then lost interest for a bit. The characters I did find interesting. Sometimes I questioned what Jacob and his father were doing though
I don't think I'll be reading the next book
How did you find it?
