Jealous that you’re going riding! That would be my choice on my birthday too. I miss riding so much. Have a wonderful birthday, Shelby!
So nice of you! We’re out and about now, but I’ll post them to my shelf in a day or two and that would be great. Thanks!
I only have access to GR app through my phone and I think you all know how frustrating that can be. I can’t even see entire posts at times. I’ve got a few books to record, but waiting until I’m back with my laptop. I haven’t read any BR lately, so hopefully my books will still count after July 31. I’ll be back Aug 3.

Good to know I'm not alone in my feeling!
I added The Good Daughter as a Buddy Read to the unofficial spreadsheet and made note of the link to my comment in the thread in the Books Read thread. Here is the link again in case you're having trouble seeing it. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I just added a comment to The Good Daughter thread for the buddy read. My comment link is: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...I will now try to add it to the spreadsheet as a BR.

Hi all!Nanci here from Moaning Myrtle checking in. I completed this book on June 17 and didn't notice it was a BR until just recently. Reading over all your comments helped me to remember parts that I had forgotten. I think some of it I pushed out of my mind because I found it so disturbing. I agree with Donna that there was a lot of anger in this family. I really had trouble with the way the dad handled such a major thing that happened to his daughter. I don't know how to hide the spoilers, so I am being careful not to give anything away here. I thought the story dragged some and could have been told in about 100 less pages. If interested, you can read my review here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
Hey Team,Sorry it's been awhile since I've checked in. I've been getting caught up on things and getting over a little jet lag. I leave again on Monday, but it's car travel, so I should have time to read and hopefully some access to internet along the way. I will try and get that post on the BR before I take off on Monday and also get another book I finished posted. Just wanted you to know I'm still around! :)
Thanks for the info on the Buddy Reads. I return from California on Wednesday and will comment on the BR thread and then adjust spreadsheet accordingly. I do not like using the app to do tasks that are more involved. Glad it will give us a few more points. Welcome to our new team members!
Question:I see The Good Daughter is a buddy read. I read the book on June 17 on my own. If I join the conversation now would it then work for the buddy read, even though I read it on my own and just now joining in the thread?
Fine by me to continue it. I'm leaving today to visit our youngest daughter in San Francisco. I will be reading as we travel, but may not be checking in as frequently. I'll look into a buddy read.Way to go team on finishing all our tasks!!
Great job, team and good work finding the scale book, Carmen! I knew you faster readers would quickly read the letters we have left.I'm just continuing to read books that will be due back to the library soon. If you need something specific from me, just let me know.

I just read in the newsletter that there will not be a 3rd quidditch match. Whoa! No chance to play Gryffindor, which maybe is a good thing for us. In it's place, we are going to have a Tri-Wizard Tournament. Curious to see what the mods have cooked up for us.

Heads up....I was just looking at the official spreadsheet and I noticed that a book I read for Quidditch, Black Widow, is not marked as Quidditch.
