35559 Fourth place out of 12 teams is still in the upper third. Not too shabby. Next time we'll pull out a W! Great team! Miss chatting with you all. Enjoy your holiday reading time!

35559 I just checked the SS and Janine's book was on her shelf, so everything is entered and we finished our final word. Bobbi still has two books out, so if she finished those within the next 3 hours, they will be good for bonus.

Sounds like many are into the holiday spirit with seeing traditional musicals and baking and parties. Woo Hoo! We saw Joyful, Joyful program last night in Sarasota, FL which is an all Black troupe. It was fabulous! Had us dancing in our seats! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Joyous Holidays to all!

Suzanne, thanks for all your work and keeping things fun and competitive. Fingers crossed that we held our lead! I hope we get to partner up again in the future!

35559 This challenge flew!! What a fun time it's been with lots of good books along the way!
I should get both of my U books done. The one I'm listening to is going faster than I anticipated.

35559 Thanks, Kari and Janine!

I finished my orange cover. It was the last one we needed, so we're all set. I just found a shortish book with a U title.

35559 Kari,
Could you shelve "Cold Case and Cupcakes" that you read today?
Thanks!

Could you put "Blind Man's" the book you finished today, on your shelf?
Thanks!
Way to get those musician books done!

35559 I finally found a U book on my TBR, but it's a rather long audio, so not sure I will get it done in time. I'm limited to audio or ebooks since I'm out of town and I haven't been very successful at finding any available that fit the U task.

It sounds very good, although I'm sure it will make me cry with so much heartbreak. If anyone is interested: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Hopefully, one of you will be able to find some U's better than me!

35559 Here's another one I found just by entering "Ursula" in the Search books box. Good for our fantasy, sci-fi readers and only 183 pages. There are lots of choices too.

35559 Ursula Hegi is an author I've read and enjoyed. She's won a lot of awards for her writing.

Hooray! It's crazy how our bodies can really change everything when we don't feel well.
Glad you're better!

35559 Yes, Amanda, it's great to have another co-captain to help. :) Especially since Suzanne and I seem to travel quite a bit. Suzanne, let me know if you need any help...just 2 hours left in this round!

35559 Thanks for your feedback on my color covers. I agree and 2/3 isn't bad.
Amanda, you've got some winnners there. I'd say yes to 4, 7, 8, and 9.
Let's just read them and post them for whoever gets them read first. I'm not the fastest reader, but I've been wanting to read them anyway. I do need to make sure that A Beginner's Guide will work for TRUMPET before I start it.

35559 From Tineye:

The Great Believer - over 50% orange
A Beginner's Guide to Free Fall- 52% orange
She's Up to No Good- only 5.6% orange...I think I'm seeing the red as orange and then there's that blue, so very iffy to me

Although we don't HAVE to use Tineye, it sometimes helps me to decide

35559 Or I have this one on my Kindle.
She's Up to No Good by Sara Goodman Confino

Last one for now...opinions, please?

35559 Another orange I will add to the planning SS although I'm 6th in line at the library, so fingers crossed. I've been wanting to read this for awhile. The Great Believers by Rebecca Makkai

ETA: The library copy looks like bright orange, but here it looks more mango orange, but still orange to me. Again, what do you think?

35559 I think I found an orange cover to read. A Beginner's Guide to Free Fall by Andy Abramowitz . Do you all agree?
