35559 I too want to see the official results. It's starting to make me a bit nervous, like something went wrong. Is it rude to ask the mods?

Elinor, can you please give me the link for Big Book? I'd love to check it out!

35559 So did we officially win? It doesn't appear the ranking sheet has changed in the past few days, but I haven't seen the usual announcement. I snooped on Jeih's thread and they are congratulating each other on coming in in 2nd place.

35559 My fingers, toes and legs are all crossed! We're still showing in first place!

You cracked me up with your comment about Zoo! Leslie, you and I enjoy a lot of the same books for sure. You will love A Long Walk for Water and I've got The Ferryman on my "next up" list, since you both liked it.

Thanks for your kind words, Suzanne! I'll never be a SS wizard, and I have so much respect for Lisa and Shannon on that account, but being referred to as "a ray of sunshine" is simply marvelous!

35559 I'm like Elinor. Taking a break from team challenges for a bit and just reading books of my choosing at my own pace. I love challenges and will be participating in Turf Wars with the same team I've played with for 2 seasons, so looking forward to that, but I also enjoy the slower pace of no challenges. It would be so awesome to be able to sign up as a team for the next round of TT, if allowed.

Elinor, I've read some of the same books you read and loved and I also loved them. Happy if this challenge boosted your spirits during some hard times in RL. You are so kind and warm and I've enjoyed getting to know you. I know you're the kind of person I'd love to have as a friend in RL. You love walking and reading...two things I love also!

I had lots of good reads during this challenge and only a few stinky ones. My 4 star and up books were:
A Long Way Gone: Memoirs Of A Boy Soldier
I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and was Shot by the Taliban
Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst
Dog

The Magnificent Lives of Marjorie Post
The German Wife
Project Hail Mary
The Saints of Swallow Hill
Seven Little Australians
The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid: A Memoir
The Elephant Whisperer
Breath, Eyes, Memory
How Not to Drown in a Glass of Water: A Novel

35559 We still get points for a wheel that’s only partially completed

35559 I also have finished my last book, Ten Women. My day just did not work to get another one in.

Fingers crossed that we pulled out the win, but either way this is the best team and I had the best time with all of you!

Thank you so much, Suzanne, for all your hours of work and leading the team so kindly and well. I would love to co-captain with you again, anytime! I'll check back tomorrow to make sure everything is all set.

35559 Janeylou, enjoy your daughter!
Elinor, hope your last book isn't too awful. :)

35559 Good morning! I made a good dent in my Ten Women book. I'm off to play tennis and then will be able to finish it this afternoon. I can't promise, but if there's time I'll try to get one more done before the deadline. If there's any letter which hasn't been claimed yet, let me know and I'll choose that.

35559 Wow! Just read through the comments from yesterday and today and my head is spinning! Everyone is a reading maniac! Love it! I finished The Housemaid, which I was reading for "F", but I see it got moved to Rainbow Tower which is just fine.

I will read Ten Women by Marcela Serrano now for my final book. It is the last one I had on the SS, that I was planning to read. It will work for T or F or M or S, but thinking cover is not enough dark green. What do you all think?

I just got home from taking our daughter and her husband and 5 month old baby to the airport, so it will be good to keep my mind occupied. Always a bit sad when they leave and reading is a good antidote for that.

35559 Good to have the official countdown Suzanne, but hard to think of not connecting with our friends here anymore. 🥲. Hope to visit with you all soon in another challenge!

Driving 4 hours home from the beach today, so hoping to get my current book finished. Maybe I can squeeze in one more!

35559 I loved that book, Leslie Ann! It inspired me to change my Amazon Smile account to give clean water to those in need and I also have my kids contribute to an organization that digs wells for water for my birthday, etc. Hope it resonates with you also!

35559 I will read for one of the N’s. I’m reading The Housemaid and one of the main characters is Nina. I’ll add to the spreadsheet soon.

ETA: I see the N's are covered already. Yay, team! I took the letter F instead for my book. Hopefully we can get Balefire Dragon Tower completed also!

35559 Glad you had a wonderful time, Leslie Ann. Coming back home with great memories is the best!

Suzanne, do you think we should shift the letters in TT "Balefire Dragon" to help finish "Lightening Hounds"? My book can be used for E, C, or L. I can find an ebook and read for any letter that is needed.

35559 Suzanne,
I'm not sure if you requested a spin for our newly completed Wheel "Monsters" where I just finished my book. I don't want to error and request it twice and it looks like you're around, so I'll leave it up to you or else just let me know if you need me to request. I'll be here for another 5 minutes.

Also, we're up early most mornings as we've got 7 grandkids including a 5 month old, so someone is always up by 5 or 6am. Loving every minute though!
Your trip sounds so fun!

35559 I finished my book for Wheel and added it to the official SS, so that group is now ready to be checked in and get another spin.

35559 Great job, team! Exciting that we're making inroads towards a W!

I took the Wheel task for surprise ending. I am sure I can find something since it's my interpretation. Reading it today on the beach and will post tonight or tomorrow morning.

35559 I kept falling asleep on the beach today while trying to read. Late night with all our adult kids, after we got the littles to bed. Hopefully I'll get more reading in tomorrow!
