I'll check cities with my upcoming reads and report back later.

I was reading a few books simultaneously, so good to get them on the SS before our travels tomorrow!

Happy plane reading and enjoy your trip!
We are driving from Virginia tomorrow back to our former hometown of Columbus, Ohio. It's about 8 hours and my husband loves to drive, so I'll be getting in some good reading time. I'll be busy while there for the week, so it will be good to have the commute time.

Suzanne thanks for your work in getting so much done on the SS. Second place! Wow, we are doing great team! I am close to finishing a few of my books. Today meeting friends for a polo match, so will be able to read while my husband drives about 90 minutes to and from. Gorgeous fall day here in the mountains of Virginia!

Im planning on doing a Y soon"
Like Suzanne mentioned those harder to find letters are great. I was going to ask you to see if you could read for Z, because my library copy still has not arrived, but then I looked at the updated spreadsheet and we have Z's enough for repeating our word 4 times. One of them from you, Janine, already. Way to go team!

That's what I figured. So glad we have all our cover colors and instrument words done!

My book, Mars and Venus in the Bedroom: A Guide to Lasting Romance and Passion is non-fiction and neither the title or author work for our word "synthesizer". However, it does have a white cover. Will it work in any way for points? I read it for another reason, so no biggie if it doesn't fit, just wanted to be sure.

Kari-so great when a book works for multiple reasons!
Looks like a lot of our team is currently on Turf challenge, so tomorrow there will be a lot of finished books. We are all good at making things work for multiple challenges!

What a cool thing to get for retirement, Suzanne! I should look for that and do the same. We've been to 34, and we'll go to Everglades in January when we stay at our place in FL. Sadly, we missed a few in Alaska, so we probably won't get to all of them, but that's ok.

Good to catch up with all that's new!
Lindsay-welcome to our team! We're a warm and welcoming bunch and glad you've joined us. I'm the team co-captain and please feel free to ask any questions you might have.
Cordelia- being a librarian was second choice for me from being a teacher or school counselor. When I was getting my master's in school counseling, I almost changed my major. I loved my work as a counselor, but there were days I wished I was the librarian. She and I were best friends at work and talked books all the time. So cool you were able to touch such an old book!
Suzanne-glad you had a great time in Yellowstone. Our goal is to visit all the National Parks (got to Denali about a month ago) and shockingly we have not yet been to Yellowstone. We were supposed to go one year, but our flight got cancelled and we couldn't make it. We will get there one day! Sorry about your dad. It's got to be so hard when your parent has that disease. Many of my friend's have gone through that with their parents and it is exhausting. Hugs.

I get a little stressed when I'm in more than three. One thing that would make it less stressful for me would be if the rules were the same for all challenges. When each challenge is different concerning minimum #of pages, number of months for rereads, time frame when books can be started, etc. I get mixed up. It is very satisfying though when you can get one book to work for numerous challenges.
Yay for lining up those white covers!
Cordelia, tell us about your job and how you work with books. Sounds like a dream!
