Back at ya, Bobbi! I love our team!I've been doing some updating on the spreadsheet today, so hopefully you won't have much to do when you get back home, Suzanne. It is so fun to fill in all the blank letters and see our progress!
Janeylou, could you please add your book, "Aiden and Ethan" and "Safe Heart" to your shelf when you get a minute? TIA
ETA: also "Strange Chemistry"
You are flying through the books, girl!
Hi Team,It's been a while since I've checked in and my reading has been taking second place while we've been at our daughter's house watching their children while she and her husband are away. They return on Sunday, but hopefully I can get some reading done tomorrow and/or Saturday. Sorry that I haven't had time to help with the SS, Suzanne. You've been doing a lot of work this round!
Yes, that is correct, Kari. However, if you happen to want to read a book and the cover is red, please mark it as such on the sheet. We probably won't need them, but it's nice to have backups, just in case.
Suzanne, I saw that book was finished and moved it to the final SS for round 2. Was it too late? I thought I still had a few minutes before the countdown. I know I checked the shelf and added it. Would it be worthwhile to check with the mods about me moving it over? There was an anonymous person on our SS when I was moving it. Either way, it’s ok. I know you feel bad, but it’s a small thing.
With less than 4 minutes to go, we did great team! So many spellouts completed! We're watching 3 of our grands for the next 8 days, but hopefully I'll still be able to get in some decent reading time.
Excited for Round 3 and to see how we finished for Round 2.
Glad to have something other than a white cover, yay for red!Sounds like we're already getting some books with instruments on cover.
I'll still read Yes Please for the Y for round 2 since it looks like it will still be needed, but the author's last name, Poehler, would work for next round. I have been listening to The Library of Lost and Found and the author's first and last names start with P, so at least that's one P covered.
I have no doubt, Janine!I'm picking up my one book left on the list from the library today and will have it read by deadline too. It will work for a Y.
Bless you, Annalisa! I looked through every book on the X list and couldn't find one! They either aren't at my library, don't have enough pages, or are a cookbook or graphic. That's great that you found a series that works. I've got one Y coming in to my library. Y's are much easier to find!
Hey team!Beautiful day here in Virginia! Hope your weather is good too.
If anyone is looking for a book, one with X or Y for the spellout would be helpful. TIA!
Happy to do it, Suzanne. It's very rewarding to see our words completing.Team, we already have 7 spellouts of XYLOPHONE completed and are well on our way for finishing our 8th word. I am amazed by your reading!
Suzanne wrote: "Haha about the "Lollipop" book Nanci! That gave me a good chuckle.Cordelia no worries. you should read what/ when makes you happy! otherwise challenges are unsustainable. I hope you have a wonderf..."
Yes, I couldn't resist! I've been updating the SS and we're doing great! Keep up the reading team!
Janine,Could you please add your book, Suck & Lick to your shelf? Sorry, it was hard to type that title with a straight face, but I'm sure it's a book about lollipops!
Thanks for the correction, Suzanne. That’s right 5 white covers, not 10. I had some oral gum surgery and might still be feeling a little fuzzy. I’m going to wait until I know the anesthesia is all out of my system to update the spreadsheet. Haha! Have fun in Arizona!
I'm starting to read Love Warrior, which works for a white cover. That's our 7th white cover being planned to read, so if anyone has a white cover they want to read, we still need 3 more.ETA: The book is a memoir and was an Oprah pick. Here's a little about the author in case it interests anyone.
"An activist and “patron saint of female empowerment” (People), Glennon is the founder and president of Together Rising, an all-women-led nonprofit organization that has revolutionized grassroots philanthropy – raising over $35 million for women, families, and children in crisis. She lives in California with her wife and three children."
Congratulations! Did you like it?Yes. You need to choose 3 of the days of questions from the BOM site (the link is on page 1 of our team thread)and answer them. Then put the link for whichever days you chose on the tab on the SS for BOM.
If you haven’t done this before it can be a little tricky, so just ask if you don’t understand.
Annalisa, You probably just finished Synnr's Kiss, but when you get a minute, don't forget to add it to your shelf. You have a few others from that series, but I don't see that one on your shelf yet.
Thanks!

I'm thinking I will get a lot of reading ..."
Surprisingly I actually liked the book. I gave it 3.5 stars, but if I liked the genre it would have been 4 stars. It was all so not me with the crazy puppets, but I just tried to look at it as silly and good fun, except during the more gory horrific times.
At the halfway point I could not figure out how it was going to end and everything seemed so over the top. I was impressed and actually liked the way the author wrote the ending. I don't want to give anything away, but when I first read about the one brother it did cause me to pause, but then it still surprised me at the end.
How about you?
Just did the updating to the SS and we are flying through the books already! We've got our word (XYLOPHONE) completed almost two times (minus an N) and only have 4 letters left in our second word to complete it. WTG!!Annalisa, we can always use those X's, so that would be great!
