Glad this new instrument is one that I recognize and one U is manageable.
I was able to mark the book as read using my phone, but I do not see how to add it to my wheel shelf. I click on where it says “add” when I’m on my Wheel shelf, but nothing happens. I’ll do it on my computer tonight.

I finished my green cover, Blessings, but I haven’t had time to get it on my shelf or marked on the spreadsheet. Tomorrow we leave early to start our drive to FL. We’ll be spending the night at a friend’s house on the way and I’ll try to get it entered there.

I should finish my green cover today. I have my RL book group tonight (Mad Honey), so I’ll work on getting it finished before then.

Maximum of 5 for green cover. We have completed 4 covers so far and I am starting my green cover today, so we should be ok. Always nice to have extras though if a book fits!

Suzanne, so happy for you that you passed that bugger! I know you feel much better. That extra sleep is just what your body needs, so just let it happen.
That is so nice that the mods helped out to get us those last points!

Oh Suzanne, I am so sorry you have been in such pain. My husband had a kidney stone and was miserable with the pain. You did the right thing going to the hospital and I hope it passes soon and you feel better.
As for this game and updating, I know you feel awful about it, but please don’t beat yourself up about it. It is just a game and emergencies happen. Personally, I would think there would be exceptions for something like what you had and especially since you tried so soon to the deadline. Please don’t stress about it now. Just focus on getting better. I can take care of the updating and transferring and if someone else wants to help out as another co-Captain that would be great. I can take over as Captain, but I might need some guidance from the mods when it comes to checking in. Let’s just take it a few days at a time for now and then we can decide.

Cordelia, here's a quote from the rules:
"** characters must be significant to the plot. you can use first, last or nickname."

So, I think using Villain as the character's name should be acceptable.

I've got a few of my books planned now. LaurLa and I need V's and U's and Z's for our spellout for Turf Wars, so actually our new word VUVUZELA matches up nicely.

I also found a book to cover the green title. Anna Quindlen is a good writer and her books read fast, so if anyone else wants to read for a green cover feel free to join me! The book is;

You guys are amazing! I haven't been on here since Wednesday before I left town and I cannot believe we've already got all those crazy genres claimed! Y'all are so great! Now just for more of those V's and U's. I'd never heard of that kind of instrument before, so thanks for the definition. It would be nice if we could get a normal instrument, but I'm sure we'll succeed again!

Thanks for the heads up on the weather, Leslie Ann! My daughter said the same. Of course the weather changes quickly in Denver, but luckily we’re of similar size, so I can borrow her things if needed. Thanks for your sentiments, Suzanne!

So glad you've got the instrument covered, LaurLa! I was going to look to see what I could find for an ebook.

I fly out tomorrow to Denver to see my 9 month old grandson, who I haven't seen for 5 months. Super excited! I've got one library book I'm taking with me, but the others will be ebooks, so I'll be a bit limited, but I'll be back late Monday night and have access to my library so not bad.
Suzanne, so sorry about your cold and hope it gets better. I'll do some updating later tonight. It's easy to go cross-eyed when looking at the SS too long!

I see a total of 9 instruments on the planning sheet, so it seems we need one more unless someone is reading one and just didn't mark it on the sheet. We can have a maximum of 10.

Kari, I think Suzanne is currently updating the SS, so I'll stay clear as it's confusing to have more than one person on at a time. I'll check back later to see if we need more updating. Great that you finished your red cover!

Did some updating this morning. We are well into our 6th spell out and starting our 7th! Wow. Thanks to all of you for reading for those harder to find letters, along with all the P's and O's. This will be very helpful if we need to shuffle things around at the end! We are rocking this round!

Suzanne, glad you had a good time with your dad on your visit. What a wonderful daughter to take him to a concert he loves!

Also, I'm now leaving our grandkids house to head back to our home with them (just a 10 minute drive). Their parents get back on a late flight, so they'll get them in the morning and our stint will be over. If you're up for it when you get back go ahead and enter Janine's books that are now on her shelf, as I'm sure I won't get back to the SS until later tomorrow. Hugs!
