Week 2 POTION
Book: The President Is Missing
Author: Bill Clinton
Pages: 513
Date read: 11/1/2018
Letter: P
Bonus: Potion in text on page 303 "brewing potiions in a boiling cauldron inside her gingerbread house,"

Hi Kayla,
See Post 206

Do you know, can we use setting for the letters too? I have a book set in Oklahoma that I could read for an O in Cobweb.

Book: The Girl Who Smiled Beads: A Story of War and What Comes After
Author: Clemantine Wamariya and Elizabeth Weil
Pages: 275
Date read: 10/30
Letters:
T or G for title
C or W or E for author's names

Please put me on the SS also for letter N in POTION for the character Nick Young in the book, Crazy Rich Asians

Can we start reading our books for next week now, or do we need to wait to start them on Saturday? I was going to get a jump on a few if we're allowed.

Please add The Girl Who Smiled Beads: A Story of War and What Comes After to the planning sheet. I'm going to read it next, since I'm waiting to read the BOM until next week.
It has 275 pages and could work for letters:
C or W or E for author's names
I'll add the completion post when I've finished.

Book: Cloud Atlas
Author: David Mitchell
Pages: 509
Cobweb in text page 200 "...the cobweb streams, gnarled towers, the unnamed wonders."
Letters:
C-title

Where is that posted? I've looked everywhere and can't find it. I'll start looking for some books that will..."
Thanks for the link and explanation about the points, Laura.

I don't know when you want us to start claiming letters for our next word, POTION, but here are some that will fit that I can read:
1. Letter PWhatever It Takes: Geoffrey Canada's Quest to Change Harlem and America (author's FN Paul)
2. Letter P Pride and Prejudice
3. Letter P The President Is Missing
And that's just looking at authors and titles

Where is that posted? I've looked everywhere and can't find it. I'll start looking for some books that will work.
Also, how does The Mayor of Halloween Town already have 815 points??! That is just crazy when this game just started!

Ha! I would say your author was spot on with it being pretentious! I'm not minding it too much and it's actually reading pretty fast, thankfully.

I'm assuming we'll get our new word each Saturday since we started on a Saturday.
I'm a big library user too. I think my nightstand is about to tip over with all the books I've picked up! I'm hoping some of them will work for our next word.
