Hmmm...to me trees are "items". You can buy one at a nursery, so it could be an item on your receipt. Not sure if the mods will be as broad thinking. :)

Great that our BOM works for so many of the tasks! Hopefully we can fill in some of the tasks needed later with that book.

FYI- My book that I read, Everyone Brave is Forgiven is listed twice on the SS.

I can read the 40 pointer for:
" Read a book with a body of water on the cover (e.g. pool, lake, ocean etc.)" by reading,

I can read the 40 pointer for:
" Read a book with a belt on the cover."


I can read the 50 pointer for:
"Read a book with “carrot” in the text."
. It's actually the plural form "carrots". Does that work?

I think the 50 pointer for:
"Read a book with a green or gold item or writing on the cover which is set in summer" will work for , but I need some verification that it will work. My copy looks like the author's name (Billie Letts) is written in gold. As far as I can tell by skimming it the story takes place in summer, except maybe towards the end, where it looks like school has begun, so maybe it's fall. Will that work?
If not it can work for the 50 pointer:
" Read a book with a star on the cover." There are lots of little stars in the night sky on the cover.

The BOM, My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories just came into my library today! Hooray! I will put it first on my list to read for next week and I'll join the thread answering the questions, so we can get more points.

Well-written review, Jess! I don't think I would care for the book either from what you wrote. Especially when the English is not correct. It's not much fun when you have to struggle to finish a book. :(

Depending on your book club. As long as they enjoy beautiful writing I’d say yes. It is possibly too wordy for people who want the story to be quickly told. It would definitely make for good discussion!

My favorite book of 2018!!

Yay, Tammie! I see you were selected to write questions for the BOM that starts on Dec 1, "My True Love Gave to Me". I'm still hoping it will come into my library in time before the challenge ends.

The Frankenstein book is still waitlisted at my library, so I doubt I'll get to read it for November.

Good job getting all our word requirements satisfied so fast!

For PINETREE I will read:
