You guys are reminding me how behind I am. I'm still on the first book, only a few chapters in. When I do pick this up again (hopefully that will be very soon) I'll probably listen to the audiobook from the beginning and maybe follow along reading my kindle version so I can avoid getting confused with the characters.

I haven’t read any for a while either. I have an audiobook copy so I’ll probably just use that now as opposed to the kindle version I have and try and listen little and often.

I thought it was pretty good. I went in completely blind so I had no idea what to expect. It wasn't what I was expecting but that wasn't a bad thing. I listened to an audiobook version read by the author so it was nice to have it read the way the author wanted.

I finished two books over the last couple of days from my list. Book 37 was Remember, Remember which was a newer book added to my list but it was a good little history book that I could read little and often.

Book 38 was The Color Purple which was one of the first books I added to my TBR list when I joined in 2012 so it feels good to get that off my list.

I finished #36 off my list which was The Last Olympian which means I have finished the Percy Jackson series!

I told myself I wouldn't buy many physical books this year anyway as my book shelf is full and I've had some of the books for way too long and have not read them yet.
The exceptions to the 'no buying' rule being books that are part of a series I have started/own, history books or something new that I really really want to read.

I finished book 34 The Emerald City of Oz from my list.

Most of what I've read this year has been through audiobooks and have largely been classics that I feel like I should have read by now. That and 'classic' children's books which tend to be on the shorter side.
My physical bookshelf hasn't changed much yet, but I haven't really purchased any physical books since I've listened to audiobooks more and I can't go out and buy any at the moment anyway.

I tend to add the whole series to my TBR list so a lot of the series I have have been on my TBR list for years, so yes I add them to this challenge. However, if I read a book that I find out is part of a series and I read the rest of the books in the series straight away, then no I wouldn't add them to this challenge, at least not for the current year.
It all depends on how long the individual book has been on my TBR.

Today I reached 30 books read off my TBR list this year, mostly with the help of audiobooks. I have now increased my goal from 40 to 60.

I've finished a couple more since I last updated, but nothing too amazing, which brings me up to 16 read so far. I will be starting a new job monday and my aim is to finish books I am currently reading while I have some times off before then. After I start this new job, I might not have much time or energy to do as much reading so it's probably good that I'm ahead of the game now.

I finished book 13 The Return of the King which completed the Lord of the Rings series for me.

I have also now changed my goal to 40 from 30.

I just finished book number 11 The Truth which I'm really excited to have finished as it was the oldest book I had on my TBR list and it also finally finished the triology!

My TBR list has now gone down from 906 to 880 this month which has mostly been through reading, but I also removed some. I'm definitely making progress. Now I just need to make sure it keeps going down and not up!
I am also still thinking about changing my goal from 30 to 40 (maybe 50), but I will see how the next few weeks go.

I'm not doing so well with remembering to read this.. but I did use an audible credit for a copy, so if I fall too far behind, I can switch to the audiobook version

Last week, I got 6 books read off my list bringing me up to 9 read for this challenge so far.
Because I've done so well so far (although some of the books have been short) I was considering increasing my goal from 30 to 50... however.. I got offered a new job today! It's a full time position and they have a no phone policy because I would be dealing with sensitive information... so long story short, I won't be reading as much as I have been.
I have to work a notice period at my current job so I still have 4 weeks of listening to audiobooks at work, after that I am going to have to work out a new time to listen to audiobooks.
I will leave my goal as it is for now, but I probably will increase it later on.

I finished my 4th one last night. Ozma of Oz which I actually began in December and had wanted to finish before the new year, but Christmas and work were so hectic it didn't happen. I'm going to aim to read the next Oz book by the end of this month, but I'm not sure that will happen.

I also had plans to finish an audiobook today, but I had a bad headache and generally felt run down today that I just didn't feel like listening to anything. But I will finish it some time this week.

So... erm... I finished my third book for this challenge today. Five Children and It was a pretty short audiobook.

I've been mostly focusing on books on my list, which is why I have managed to get some done already. Also I've been lucky with having to time listen to audiobooks which is what my three finished books have been.
