Review:
This is the opening to the Gamble brothers series. All of the brothers are somewhat introduced, and we learn why they happen to not be in serious relationships.
This one focuses on Chase. Chase and Madison have known each other since they were kids. Chase is best friend to Madison's brother. Madison has had a crush and/or been in love with Chase since she was a young girl. He hasn't reciprocated.
They had a disastrous encounter years before and she has tried her best to move past these feelings to no avail.
Now they are forced into close proximity and they can't seem to keep their hands off each other.
Unnecessary misunderstandings and the fact that Madison didn't have one meaningful relationship after all these years is what made me not give this more than 3 stars.
Would I continue on with the rest of the series? Yes, because although I felt these two should have talked more, there was enough info here about the Gamble's to intrigue.

Review: I liked both of these characters, but I will say that I felt they were a bit of too good to be true.
Chloe is running from something/someone with a bruise on her face, so you have to assume it's a someone and that someone is a man. If you have not witnessed a man in a good light for a while, would you be quick to trust and lust after one you just met?
Chase is a ladies man. He actually has a fling set up that he is on his way to met when he runs into to Chloe. Now I'm expected to believe that he basically fell in love with her at first sight (or almost), and that a woman wouldn't hold that against a man for a bit (to at least make him work harder) once she found out??
What I did like more than anything was Marcus. He wasn't a major part of this story, but more than the other Sullivan siblings. I was more interested in what was going on with him and Jill more than I was concerned about the outcome of this story.
For that reason and the fact that I didn't hate this one, I will be continuing on with the series (for now).
