Book prices are getting crazy. I'm glad I'm a mostly used shop. I won't even order hardcovers because its too much of an investment for me, hoping I picked right and someone will buy them so I make a few dollars per book. I limit my new book orders to trade paperbacks, and even then I won't order the $20 ones no matter how popular. I've got a B&N 3 miles away.

And another things that's annoying, sometimes when you reorder you noticed the publisher raised the price of the book since the last order (usually by adding $1)! So I have to keep checking when the orders comes in that my price is still correct.

Fourth Wing has tons of people in the facebook buy/sell groups looking for the special print edition with the sprayed edges. Lots of hype for that one.

I have this on audio through my libro.fm account. I got is as an ARC but didn't have time to listen before it published. I'll think I'll do it next. Getting tired of romantic comedies. Everything has been "meh" lately (Happy Place by Emily Henry, Lucy Score books)

The marketing manager for the radio station was in here the other day trying to sell me a personalized QR code for this contest for $649! Its supposed to make voting easier and I was like, yeah I have to pay bills. I mentioned I have customers in other states is that ok, and she said of course, plus all your friends are going to vote for you from all over so its expected.

For those with Edelwiess ARC access - all the booksellers in our facebook group were freaking out/excited that the next murderbot book showed up on edelweiss to request. I have an account but no idea how to use it, lol.

I finished an ARC of by JR Ward.

This was really bizarre, and in the end I did not like it much. I have some serious issues with this being a YA book (main characters were 15). There's suicide attempts, eating disorders, bullying, murder, murder cover up because hey the victim was mean, and a supposed improper adult/minor relationship but not really enough proof was given for that so I just kept thinking but what if he didn't do it? And even with all that nothing much happens for 80% of the book.

Kristi, so glad they were able to help him so far. Hoping for a complete recovery for your husband.

I read it a long time ago so I don't really remember how dark it was. But I don't like dark either so it couldn't have been too bad. I still remember the ending, it really stuck with me.
